The fake shot works because because Dembele can rifle the ball AND dribble with either foot. It only looks like he uses his right foot only because he plays on the right wing mostly. In 2017-19 when Messi played the right wing, Dembele did it more from the left wing. His body feints work, too, because he misdirects the defenders with his eyes, which light up when it looks like he wants to shoot.
