Olivier Giroud is 35 years old and shows no signs of finishing his career. The starting striker for world champions France, Giroud has found the key to be indispensable for his national team and a reliable back up for his clubs. Now at Milan, Giroud is fighting to win Serie A and we have to ask, what the heavens happened to Giroud?

  1. The man is an absolute class leader in his own lane.
I was one of the non believers of his transfer to Chelsea but his unwavering positive spirit and his "For the good of the Team" selfless sacrifices made me love him more than I ever thought was possible for a former arsenal fc guy.
I even followed him to Milan to see him prosper.
His story is nothing short of the underdog's rise through doubt fairytale.
He was the top goal scorer in the Europa Tournament and he deserved the MVP but LA Liga wanted to polish Eden Hazard for his move over there.

  2. 30 years later if you will ask me the best player of this generation
I will show Messi, Ronaldo and slip in Giroud
If anyone argues I will show them his trophy collection and his top 50 goals
Maybe he would be considered even at higher level

  5. He is a great TEAM player he made a great assist today March 19 2022 let’s see what he can do during the international break as Benzema Is injured and will miss classeso tomorrow Benzema should always start on the national team but Giroud should always be on the team

  6. I was so upset when Arsenal let him go. He's not my favorite player, and may not be a consistent goalscorer, but he makes every team better in the final third somehow. Class guy, wouldn't mind him coming back.

  7. Why Tuchel shipped him off is a mystery. As mentioned in the video,he does act more like a connecter between players especially during attacking but if people viewed solely on stats, then yeah he doesn't have the best stats especially for a striker but he does contribute a whole lot more in the build up. More than Lukaku

  8. Giroud has always been incredibly good and incredibly underrated at the same time.

    Story of his career, basically.

  9. As a Milan fan, we are happy about him because he's a good guy, he came for free and he scored a few important goals. But I really don't understand all this excitement concerning him. He has been playing a little bit only because Ibra (40yo) has been out for the vast majority of the season. He looses control of the ball at least 50% of the balls he touches because technically he is mediocre… he never tries to run because he is extremely slow etc. Then when the ball comes in the box he is still a good finisher, but normally when we start with him you have the clear feeling of playing in 10 for at least 90% of the game. To conclude… he is perfect as an alternative to the main striker… but I don't see him as the first choice for a club who wants to be a title challanger in one of the top 4 European leagues

  10. Giroud's biggest downfall is there is a guy named Karim Benzema that can almost do everything Giroud does and does it better at that

  11. I like Giroud. It's not always about how many goals you scored, but more on the contribution he made on the game. He may not score or assist a lot, but he linked well with his team mates. This is more important as it's a team's sport. I'm happy he won the league title at Italy, and hoping he can continue to shine at Qatar. Go Giroud!!!

  12. As an Arsenal fan who started supporting the club because of Thiery Henry and Viera, I would love to see Olivier Giroud break Henry's record for the French national team. The guy has done his best for every team he has played for and deserves recognition for it. I think he will get the next 4 goals in the coming world cup

  13. if he was a couple years younger he would’ve been a great replacement for Lewandowski but damn… i do like Giroud didn’t like that go-kart comment but he has a damn good résumé
