Moy has publicly tated on numerous occasions he only wants to bring in players that improve us. You could argue Kehlar does the other two, I don't think so…
I'm quite happy with Emerson. He was very good in the Euros for Italy and he was one of Lyons better players last season, playing well against us in the 1st leg. He's based in London, knows the league and has experience in European competitions. I think we could do a lot worse than him.
Geo…..there is no rush to get players ready to play Brighton. Moyes puts new signings straight on the bench. They have to prove themselves to Moye's standard whatever that is. Going on Moyes past behavior we won't see our new signings in the starting line up for 6 months or so.
Good news we are making progress in terms of defenders , for me we still need someone who is a more creative midfield player ,someone who can run with the ball and play a pass

Geo where is the logic in going from Onana to Vanaken other than height? They couldn’t be further apart otherwise! Is ‘height’ Moyes’ main concern, in a team already full of giants?

I saw Emerson play a good amount of times when I was living in Rome and he was playing for AS Roma, I do like him and I think he'd be a really good Cresswell replacement, really similar in his style of play. I'd rather sign Gallagher on a permanent and take him on loan, but this is never gonna happen so I'd gladly sign Emerson and take anyone else (Hudson-Odoi, Broja too) on loan. Vanaken instead, I never seen him play outside of Europa League so I don't have enough materials to judge him. All I can say is I'm happy we're being linked with a new number 10

Emerson is a short term solution but makes alot sense but long term we will still need a young understudy very soon because cresswell is winding down but right now emerson is experienced in prem and at a good level nationally and played in europe. Kehrer is another sensible deal by the board / moyes and again a much need addition with experience he's played at a good level can play few positions which moyes likes plus at 25 many years to come. Vanaken is the only one i am unsure on as he is unproven older then i would like but a typical moyes player at 6ft5, i think there may be better out there depending on what club brugge want for him, i hope club are sensible on this and dont just panic and pay whatever.
I’m a bit mmm on our transfer business so far. Have we actually improved our first team, maybe we have more depth at striker level but who’s to know if it’ll be any better than Antonio, same goes for Aguerd.. The rest Downes & Cornet are ok squad players. Areola is not 1st choice. I don’t think we’ve improved much. Could be a tough season ☹️

As a Chelsea fan, Emerson is a good player he just never got much of a chance to prove himself at Chelsea. He’s skilful and quick as a lb and lwb. Would work well for West Ham. Good luck for the season 👍
Im a belgian and vanaken is regarded as one of the best players in the belgian league each year and performs well for the national team too. He is very creative and has great passing, his biggest downfall is his pace imo.
Don't waste money buying players like Emerson, loan possibly. If we want to go places, I would like to see a quality LB. It certainly looks like far too little too late, desperate measures. Never been keen on South America for defenders, very few and far between for decent ones that will make it in the Prem. COYI⚒
Broja and Gallagher are the only Chelsea players that would be worth us loaning from Chelsea but Tuchel wants them in the first team. Both are first backups in their position, Barkley isn't good enough I would prefer for us to give more minutes to Dowens/try to get someone else.
All we need now is a penalty taker!!
