I would like Trafford and/or Kelleher. Areola is a great shot stopper but the distribution side, particularly kicking isn't so hot.
Let's be honest, the club will mess it up, one way or another. Particularly with the financial constraints we'll have.

I think we absolutely must go for a gk! If Potter is to want to keep us solid at back and have that comfortable possession at the back then we need a modern gk!
Only worry for me is how much money we have to spend on the gk.
I expect us to have a healthy budget tbh and boosted by many sales. Newcastle will be a hard rival for whichever gk get or lose out on
Kelleher my first choice, Trafford definitely 2nd..
Michael Cooper ex Plymouth now at Sheff Utd..is best keeper i have seen..I'd go for him 100 per cent
Keep Areola , imagine having an extra 20-30m to spend on a midfielder or striker – no brainer
Why does Xavi Valero survive all the coaching culls? I'd rather keep Areola and get a goalie coach who can teach him to kick. Or have him short pass it to Todibo or Killman for them to pass it long
Outside choice is Kepa. He's grown into the price tag Chelsea paid for him and has demonstrated at Real Madrid and now at Bournemouth how solid he can be. Doubt he'd cost a lot of money and is still young to be our number 1 for years to come. Agree on Ramsdale, not sold on him.
Pope is done after his shoulder injury – it’s badly affected his mobility to get down to the ball

Nothing wrong with areola people just highlight the odd error just as they do with every keeper and regarding trafford why is it that keepers get so much credit for clean sheets when the defense infront of them can mean they dont have anything to do, lets spend money where its needed and not only play them but play them in their proper positions
Tbh I'm puzzled by the clamour for a new keeper. Imo Areola, while not too clever with his feet, is a bloody good shot stopper which, imo, is the best attribute for a keeper to have. Of those mentioned in the podcast Pope and Ramsdale are no better than Areola with their feet. Kelleher is, I guess, not rated good enough by Liverpool which is why they have bought in Mamadashvili as cover for Alisson. I must admit I don't watch Championship footy so haven't seen either Trafford or Cooper this season although I have to say when Burnley were last in the PL Trafford was the worst keeper in it by some distance imo. If we bring in a new keeper imo it should be as a No 2 to Areola and, you heard it here first, my choice would be Juan Garcia, the Espanyol keeper, a future Spanish international keeper for sure. Right age profile (24 in May) and would probably accept being second string to Areola for his first season.

It looks like Bournemouth are in for Kelleher and I'm guessing he'd choose them over us. He's definitely my first choice, I think he's been superb for Liverpool
