It’s why I couldn’t care less about international football. Wrong players constantly called up and too many dropping out with an ‘injury’ before miraculously being fit for the first league game back.

Tuchel did the same thing at Chelsea, bought the experienced players back to the forefront to set the standards first, then reintergrated the youngster in positions we lack depth

Saying we don’t have a huge amount of talent at CB and then just breezing over Branthwaite is ridiculous. He’s the best CB in the current squad along with Guehi
That's why It's difficult for England to win any trophy because the media knows it better than the couch.
The problem is James is regularly injured for long periods and he's not an elite enough player to risk a squad position. Maybe he'll prove otherwise in the next 12 months but that would surprise me.
