With Liverpool crashing out of FA Cup, losing the Carabao cup and leaving Champions League, I think it’s going to be harder for Salah to win even though he deserves the recognition… Barcelona need to finish this season in style and not lose their momentum at the last minute! They still have a chance at the Copa del Rey, the Liga and Champions League so the more they win, the closer we are to giving a Ballon d’Or to Raphinha! But Real Madrid are also still up for all 3 trophies as well so it’ll be a tough race and as much as I dislike Mbappé, he’s getting into shape now!
And PLEASE don’t spend 70 or 80 million on Leão… I think history shows that the expensive signings are rarely the ones to make the difference and usually end up in short stints with the club. We have a team with so many different players scoring goals that we should avoid overspending needlessly on someone who will more than surely end up being a regretful purchase. Nico Williams would make sense in terms of having Spanish national players unite under the same club and he works well with Yamal and I’d prefer Isak or Gyokeres or Salah, but I have a feeling Leão would be one of those « let’s throw money out the window » situations..
