Chelsea secured their place in the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals with a 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen at Stamford Bridge, sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s second-half strike proved the difference on the night as the Blues controlled proceedings without ever needing to shift into top gear.
The first half was largely uneventful, with Chelsea dominating possession but struggling to break down a disciplined Copenhagen defence. Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto provided moments of threat, while Enzo Fernández saw a long-range effort comfortably saved. At the other end, the visitors rarely troubled Chelsea’s backline, with Lucas Jorgensen—deputising for the rested Robert Sánchez—having little to do.
After the break, Chelsea increased the tempo, and in the 55th minute, Dewsbury-Hall capitalised on a misplaced pass, driving into the box and finishing clinically past Kamil Grabara. The goal settled any nerves and allowed Enzo Maresca’s side to manage the game with relative comfort. Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku were introduced late on, with the latter forcing a smart save as Chelsea looked to add to their tally.
Despite a late flurry from Copenhagen, the Blues held firm to secure victory and extend their unbeaten run in the competition. They now await the quarter-final draw as they continue their push for European silverware.
