  1. Autos are tight, playoffs are tight, relegation is tight.

We’re in for an exciting end

  2. So tight at the bottom there. Are Swansea and QPR fans feeling safe now? Everyone seems to be picking up points, makes it hard to predict who’ll be going down …

One of the most exciting relegation and promotion battles for a long time.

I just don’t like watching us at the wrong end of the table.

I literally can’t eat before games with nerves lmao.

Why do we do it to ourselves, following a football team 🤣🤣

  4. Was really hoping we’d have more than a 2 point cushion over 3rd going into the international break and our inevitable Easter slump

I think 97 points wins it. That’s 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat from the last eight for the top two. That would mean 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat for Burnley.

straight back into a relegation battle. im not happy whatsoever.

i still think 2 more wins will see us safe but we’ve looked absolutely abysmal in our last 2 games, hoping that the international break gives us time to reset and refocus. It’s really going down to the wire though.

that being said Plymouth really are on the verge of relegation with those remaining fixtures, going to be really tough for them to stay up.

  7. After the shambles at the start of the season, to be in with a shout of 12th is an incredible achievement. Heckingbottom for manager of the season?

Whoever of the top 3 get into playoffs are going to be shafted by the money grab that is the playoffs again.

When does the annual Leeds collapse start, or are we already at the beginning ?

With the other 2 closest to us still to play each other I think we’re still in a strong position for autos even if we don’t ultimately win the league. If we had accumulated our points in a different order our fans wouldn’t be panicking as much.

From our recent slump, I only think the Portsmouth loss was a poor result. And, despite how uncomfortable they made us in the middle of the park, I think it was a bit of an unlucky defeat given the number of clear cut chances we made. I also think overall some of our fans have been making comments about the performance levels based on the results rather than performances themselves (though some comments about certain players in particular I think are true). We haven’t been as dominant as earlier in the season but still overall making a lot of more chances than we’re allowing against us.

Avoid losses away and win at home and I’d be amazed if we don’t go up. Try to throw in at least one or two away wins to alleviate some of that pressure for a perfect home record. Yesterday was the start of what we need to do, even if a win would’ve been nicer.

If we do that and the other two somehow manage to both finish above us, whilst playing each other, we’ll just have to hold our hands up and say fair play before going into the playoffs.

If the league started at Christmas Coventry would be premier league winners by now

This Coventry run of form reminds of that season Fulham had the bad start and the mitrovic went on to score like a thousand goals or whatever. Always feels like the team that rushes the playoffs with a good run of form is best placed when it comes the semis and final, like when villa won the ten games in a row. I don’t think anyone would argue Leeds were the third best team that year, but they seemed to get distracted with the Derby feud

Not sure I remember the last time we’ve been 8 games before the end of the season with nothing to play for.

I know people will say we can make the play-offs theoretically as we’re only 6 points off…. To do that we’d have to win 6/7 out of the next 8 games including matches away to Sunderland, Sheff United & Burnley. We haven’t shown that sort of form all season.

It has been a productive season though, and we are in a much better position than last year where I was worried about our aging squad.

I’m happy we’re not in the relegation battle, it looks tough down there this year. Usually there is one team that is about 15 points adrift at this stage. All teams still putting up a fight to stay up.

  15. I’ll never not be amazed by my club’s ability to go from relegation to play off contention and back again with astonishing regularity.

  16. Are 52 points enough to avoid relegation?

Join us as we spend the next 2 months finding out

Bottom 3 looks like its going to be us, Luton and Plymouth. I think you will see us drop in there in a couple of GW’s
