Not sure why everyone thinks this will be a pretty straightforward win. In the last 5 games, Brighton has outscored us 13 to 5 and we’ve conceded more than 2x what they have (7 vs 3). Throw in the fact that Pep’s attacking system of slow and side to side passes with a high backline plays right into Brighton’s style and is very advantageous to compact defense and their very fast, strong and efficient counter attacks. Unless Pep wakes up and stops this madness OR Brighton have a howler of a game, there’s not much to be confident about.
Would love the win, happy with a draw at this point, but think it’ll be a loss unfortunately. Again, a lot depends on Pep, his stubbornness and his game mgmt tomorrow
Every game for Manchester City now upto the end of the season is a final. Pep needs to use Marmoush and players like Bernardo Silva who doesn't want to pass the ball to others to score should all be benched. If Manchester City is scared of Brighton then we shouldn't be playing in epl we should go and play in the Championship. City has to believe in themselves and win these games.
