  1. Football is a game of confidence & system. You don’t just wake up one day & become a different player. People will dismiss it as Ligue 1 tax but look at Dembele’s numbers last season. This is beyond just confidence. This is a product of the system Luis Enrique has built. It’s easy to say he’s thriving because of a weaker league. But the real credit goes to Enrique for turning a player once criticized for his poor finishing into a composed goal scorer. The biggest changes. His positioning & the quality of chances he gets. PSG’s front three rotate a lot but over the last few months, Dembele has spent most of his time in central areas. He’s now in positions where he can finish simple chances instead of trying to do it all himself. Talent was never the issue. Injuries held him back & he often had to adjust to fit into different systems. But now he’s healthy, playing in a structured team & finally has a defined role. He’s no longer trying to create something out of nothing. He’s in a setup where his strengths are maximized. Look at that 7-0 win against Brest. 7 different goal scorers because the team always looks for the best-placed player. Dembele’s movement now puts him in the right places. Tap-ins. One-on-ones. The kind of finishes that once looked difficult for him. And it’s not just tactical. According to Romain Molina, he’s also reaping the benefits of a professional approach he adopted 5 years ago. Better diet. Stricter rest. Smarter workload management. Dembele always had the tools. But now he finally has the stage. For years he was like a musician playing out of tune. The talent was there but the melody never quite clicked. Now the notes are in harmony the rhythm is smooth & the symphony is finally complete. Some players take time to find their song. Dembele has found his & the music has never sounded better…

  2. I think it's a PSG v Barca (maybe Inter) final this year now that Liverpool are out (why can't we ever win the league and CL in the same year 😭)

  3. The day PSG changed it's strategy from galacticos to a more youthful talented squad, it's only just a matter of time and they will get their hands on the UCL. They have a very good manager.

  4. except when PSG meet a strong opponent they become goal shy which is why they still won't win the CL, despite being a terrific if eye wateringly expensive team.
1 goal against Liverpool who should have won that tie with their early chances at Anfield. PSG were NOT getting 3 goals after that, no matter how good you think Dembele is. And the one goal they scored though well taken needed a huge slice of luck whereas Liverpool's goal required no luck whatsoever.
PSG's wage bill is over 100 million euros/yr more than Liverpool's and it showed in the subs. But given those resources and no one is catching Liverpool. Can't say the same for PSG.

  5. He's always been good. But what's scarier is, I think his level has slightly dropped over the years. He realised that time is not waiting for him and he wants to prove that he is one of the best attackers to ever play the sport.
