  1. Why is everyone getting excited about Johnathan david? As a east ender living in canada i can yell you that he is very average. Another waste of money.

  2. 2:02

I used to watch a lot of Ligue1 highlights and the season he won the league with Lille, especially the run in, he was impressive.

That said I haven't seen much of him playing for 90 minutes to give an assessment but would be the sort of forward I would love to see here.

  3. What’s the point of signing Jonathan David if we don’t have anyone to get him the ball? He will have seen our midfield and thought forget this.

  4. Very few centre forwards make their own goals, yes they can run into positions and /or make space but 90%+ are reliant on the service then a good/ natural goalscorer puts the ball into the net SO SURELY the players that get the ball to him should be more of a concern along with the way we play to get him the ball, football isn't rocket science

  5. Jonathan David why would he come to us? He has better options. I’m dreading the Everton game and that smug Moyes. I’m sure we’ll see the same team as we did against Leicester and Newcastle 🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. Totally agree with Geo. Chasing shadows when a window is actually open always annoys me. But with regard to David and Gomes, I will be neither surprised nor disappointed if/when we fail to get them. If we DO I will be pleasantly surprised and excited. Either way there is no downside.

  7. Geo worryingly Jonathan David only plays in a front 2. He is not a lone striker, nor a wide forward (even though he is "2 footed"). So he would be just an Ings upgrade.
