This shows last year Galaxy championship was a fluke. Their defense still sucks and they tried outscoring everyone last year. They got lucky Miami qnd LAFC had bad games and lost before reaching the finals.

Tough result. I noticed St. Louis sat deep in a low block, which we struggled to break down, especially late in the match. Tactically, we gave away possession in dangerous areas and got punished for maintaining such a high line. Despite the scoreline, I felt we were clearly the better team, so losing by such a wide margin really stings.

We gotta talk about L.A Galaxy. I have often said that LA Galaxy would have a down year in 2025 and struggle for the playoffs. Media thought they would be first in the west for some reason but that hasnt happened for a few reasons.
1. MLS Is built to prevent b2b winners
MLS is built to fairly balance teams and make sure everyone has a shot at winning. A way they do that is having stricter salary cap for mls cup champion. (Which is something i like)
Thats why they had to trade off Dejan to SKC and lose a few other llayers.
2. Riqui Puig
Likely the kost obvious sign this was gonna happen. He is the reason galaxy were even mls cup contenders last year. He only had ONE bad game (7.0 fotmob rating or higher in all games except 2 (6.1 & 6.8)
He is for sure the best midfielder in MLS and its a shame he tore his ACL. If it wasnt for him staying on after tearing Galaxy would have been knocked out by Seattle!
Without him. Galaxy are pretty much nothing. THEY LOST TO POPEYES EAST!
3. Transfer failure
LA Galaxy have failed to properly replace Puig, Dejan and all other team holes. Only signing a U22 Init player that is only in his second professional year.
Overall, this was coming for galaxy but i didnt think it would be THIS bad.
