Gabriel Jesus – one of Arsenal’s best performers in their electric start to the season – has been ruled out for up to 3 months after suffering an injury at the World Cup for Brazil. How can they fill the void left by him?

  1. We don't want to replace him..we just need to supplement his position with somebody who will come in and nip at his heels for a starting place when he's back..pushing him to improve even further.

  2. When you speak of pressing and providing for others…..the answer for Arsenal is none other than Bayko Saka… forgive the miss spelling.
If they go into the market then it's Dusan Vlaholovic

  3. Murdryk is a talent. Watching him in the champions league was a joy. Hes got my vote. Could be one of the best players in the future.

  4. Martinelli has been groomed to be a striker. He is the long term answer to our striker problem. Maybe playing him now is a bit ahead of schedule but it's the best move. Nketiah can play well in our system but not as good as Martinelli or Jesus. Nevertheless I wouldn't mind Nketiah getting his chance.

  5. i want to see martinelli as a number 9 for the rest of the season, especially if mudryk is coming in at left wing EDIT: nevermind the vlahovic shout has won me over

  6. i know ronaldo is a stinker for the dressing room but i dont see how one player could cause a rift in this dressing room- can you imagine the scenes if arsenal take United's hero and win a league with him at the worst point in his career

  7. I love Nketiah but i dont think he play in no9 but i think Martinelli or Smith Rowe could play in Jesus place and Nketiah play in Martinelli place

  8. Eddie has been great almost every game he has played this season. All these Arsenal fans that use him as a scapegoat is really annoying. We don’t need to replace him, he is the exact player we need to fill the Jesus void. We gave him that big contract for a reason, now is his time to earn it.

  9. Martinelli as a striker – no, Rory. It's been tried, not quite the right fill. He doesn't get much of the ball there. And his dribbling and ball-carrying abilities get much wasted this way. He's simply not cut out for playing with his back to goal.

  10. Vlahovic ain't the answer. He's never been good enough for Arsenal, he's been average for Juve, and he had a terrible WC for Serbia. He also evidently didn't want to play for the club last time out, so I don't want him now. I wouldn't have him above Martinelli at striker, and then what happens when Jesus comes back? We'll have an overpaid young striker with a weak mentality sitting on the bench. Get Martinelli or Nketiah in until Jesus comes back.

On another note, signing Ronaldo would be terrible. But Arteta isn't stupid enough to do that.

  11. Rory is talking dodo again. You’ll eat your own words Mudryk will be the future of this team and league if and when they sign him. Regardless of if it’s now or later
