Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Bournemouth
What we learned from Tottenham 2-2 Bournemouth
Spurs welcomed the Cherries to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in the Premier League (PL) as Ange Postecoglou faces pressure ahead of the Europa League game against AZ Alkmaar.
Cristian Romero returned from injury but was lucky not to put Tottenham 1-0 down within the early stages but Guglielmo Vicario made a huge save.
A James Tavernier goal put Bournemouth 0-1 with a Milos Kerkez assist.
Bournemouth made it 0-2 with a Evanilson goal and a Justin Kluivert assist.
Then Tottenham made it 1-2 with a Pape Matar Sarr goal and Lucas Bergvall assist.
Then Tottenham made it 2-2 as Heung-Min Son aka Son Heung Min (손흥민) was fouled by Kepa Arrizabalaga and a Heung-Min Son goal was scored from the penalty spot.
Should Ange Postecoglou be sacked?
Could Tottenham sack Ange Postecoglou?

5:00 – Is Jamie Carragher Right About Tottenham Hotspur?
Tottenham Hotspur have not been quite as active in the transfer window this summer – only signing Archie Gray from Leeds United and Yang Min-hyuk from Gangwon FC, Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth and Wilson Odobert from Burnley and Antonin Kinsky (Antonín Kinský) from Slavia Prague and Kevin Danso from RC Lens and Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich – but over the last few years under Ange Postecoglou Spurs have been building a top youth side.
With the help of Daniel Levy, Scott Munn, Johan Lange and Fabio Paratici Spurs have lowered the average age of the squad to 25.
The Premier League is heating up with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bournemouth, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Luton Town, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolves aka Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ipswich Town, Southampton and Leicester City.
The former Celtic, Yokohama F. Marinos, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham squad include Guglielmo Vicario, Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojberg, Dejan Kulusevski, Bryan Gil, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-Min (손흥민) Richarlison, Pape Matar Sarr, Jamie Donley, Alfie Dorrington, Ashley Phillips, Oliver Skipp, Rodrigo Bentancur, Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence, Ryan Sessegnon, Micky van de Ven, Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin, James Maddison and Dane Scarlett, Manor Solomon, Alejo Veliz, Giovani Lo Celso, Ben Davies, Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin, Alfie Whiteman, Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga, Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon, Lucas Bergvall, Mikey Moore, Archie Gray, Yang Min-hyuk, Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, Luka Vuskovic, Mathys Tel and Antonin Kinsky (Antonín Kinský)

We got away with that , Bournemouth should have been out of sight before Sarr’s cross come goal lol 😜
A bit lucky, but that's how it goes some games, as you know I am not convinced that Ange or his staff have what it takes at this level.
A win next week will probably keep Ange his job until the summer – then we shall see. Laughing at somes fans saying if we get a new manager the the same will happen with him – wtf how negative can you get !!!!
p.s I would have the bournemouth manager today !!!!
We were awful again 😂🤷….
Absolutely wide open as per usual…. Did you hear the cheer when vicario smashed it long 😂😂 I'm telling you we've got some decent players , we just need to play gray and bergy in the middle and add some quality up the top end …. Porro is absolutely shit …. Exactly what I've been saying to you all along is playing out to the tee …. It was Always going to be a long drawn out affair with Ange , he's stealing a living , he's got nowhere to hide now , he's all out of excuses and thank god his spell is nearly over , he's had 10 good games at the beginning of his time and then we've got progressively worse , it's like a cult , no matter how bad we are people still say he's the right man …. ridiculous ! …. No chance we win the cup even if we do beat az , so best case scenario we finish mid table …. No chance he's here next season , if he is it completely hurts us for a good start next season …. His methods are just amateurish….get someone new in , sell porro , sonny , bissouma and Davies , should get a 100 million for them then get a striker , a attacking midfielder and central midfielder …. Oh and Johnson is terrible
Vicario was man of the match. Saved our ass. Did we deserve it? Sure, because we made it happen with some long deserved luck. Confident about AZ Akmaar? Cautiously optimistic.
Let’s face it we’re just mickey away from a full team and we still go 2 nil down and we get away with a draw at home,, ANGE OUT 🤦
Shocking performance. We should’ve been wearin’ masks because that was a robbery. On the plus side, at least Ryan Mason will be in charge for the next league fixture.
Told you long time back that we should go for Iraola but now it may be too late. I think we need to go all out to try to get him though.
We need a commanding midfielder in the centre that is a true leader. Our biggest ever signing but who?!
Thought we was very lucky, without all vics saves they could easily have gone 3 or 4 up
We can't keep the ball and are wide open, I'd swap Ange for my Nan
Our players are not all as good as Bournemouth's. Romero set the tone by giving the ball away close to goal and this seemed to be infectious. If you have several players that are weak in the PL you will get severely punished by any team in the PL. We had at least five players today who were weak and Bournemouth had none. Until we get 11 players who are at the top of their game we will likely lose every match. Why do we not press like Bournemouth? They steal our possession, run up the pitch and score yet again. This happens every week. Something is wrong with whoever is responsible for tactics. If Ange tells them to press and they don't why is this?
I don´t even watch them any more. It's pathetic. It's really bad.
Trash football from Spurs who were lucky not to get punished. Don't have a team. Don't have any leaders on the pitch. Don't have a manager who knows what he's doing. The team will flounder till the end of the season.
Groundhog day at spurs.
Sack him tonight….had enough of this whatless guy
Sorry for the long response. But you did ask a lot of questions! 🤣🤣
I was at the game today & I have one overriding thought: we need a 6 who’s good in the air, strong in the tackle, silky on the ball, and calm. And we have that; Master Gray!!
Midfield is the issue. Bissouma, Bentnacur, & Maddison, are far too consistently inconsistent. For me, they all need to go.
We’re suffering from too many changes, game on game mainly, IMO, as we’re nursing players back from injury. That’s not to say we shouldn’t rotate. But you need players that are used to each others game. I.e. if you play Romero-VDV on Thursdays, then Danso/Davies should play every Saturday. Latest injury aside, and IMO, Gray, Bergvall, & Deki, should play Thursdays, Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison on Saturdays. Then, for me, Odobert, Solanke, & Son for Thursdays, Johnson, Tel, & Moore, on Saturdays.
You have to have consistent groupings for Thursdays, and Saturdays. That brings STABILITY, CONSISTENCY, PATTERNS OF PLAY UNDERSTANDING, AND COHESIVENESS.
As for Thursday, 2 connected things need to happen:
The fans have to inspire the players; &
The players have to inspire the fans.
If that happens, for the first time in a very long time, we’ll thump AZ!!
Always, #COYS 🤍🤍🤍
Iraola is twice the coach ange is. Get him . 2 years has been enough to know ange isnt as good as iraola
Without Vicario, we lost that
We rode our luck but let’s take it and lift the lads on Thursday. We are looking like the England team playing under too much pressure. COYS
yes a bit lucky and yea the team is almost all back but they still haven’t played together. bournemouth is a really solid team this year.. the fact this team sho has been struggling fought back for thai draw is huge.. now if this can’t get the team going and the next results are failures then yes sack ange but until we out of europe and if the team can keep getting wins and draws then this team will be fine next hear

Always over use of Sonny hurts the team
through out the season! #Needchange😢😢😢
Alright: first we have to face the fact that we are not top 6 anymore. Once we get that out of the way, we can have more realistic expectations. The EPL margins are a lot closer in today's world than in decades past. But, there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Spurs have the wherewithal to be top 4 in any given year. It just ain't this year. Spurs have always been about attacking football and Ange ball is just the latest iteration of this.
Spurs showed aggression today. Yes, they made some verrrrry foolish mistakes but they kind of made up for them, or at least salvaged the result. In 15 minutes time, if I may add. Bournemouth are no slouch team. They are Liverpool/south. Spurs were finding their land legs again. It wasn't always pretty, but they were very dominant in the first half with moving the ball. Ironically, they scored the equalizers in the second half, where they started to look Spursy. Romero was a bust in the lineup. He was still on the practice pitch. Van de Ven was ok, but forgot he was a defender. Spence and Danso were solid. Sonny came in and changed the game. Saar, who I have been critical of, of late, made up for his juvenile failure to score with a brilliant outfield shot. Odobaert missed an opportunity to shoot at 5:30. Too much passing in the box. Too much touchy-feely in midfield from others.
At any rate, Spurs were 7/10. They showed a lot of enthusiasm but lacked cohesion from time to time. Defensive strategy is still weak, but the overworking defenders kept the game in reach. The offense was decent, but still leaves some desire. Take the f'ing shot. It can't hurt. There will probably be a rebound you can get to. Glad Bergval took a shot. He was just mms off.
Spurs don't need much more than a bit of confidence in their game. To pseudo-quote Miller's Crossing, "you are the boss as long as people think you're the boss. When people stop believing it – you stop being it". Too lazy to look it up, but the point still stands.
How poor are these players get rid of Ange but shit what hope's the next manager got
You're wrong chris
