On today’s episode of Pinstripe Post, Joel and Ryan revisit the Juan Soto trade as Michael King looks to be in ace-like form before he begins his walk year with the Padres.

Joel and Ryan breakdown the Giancarlo Stanton and Luis Gil injuries and why this Yankees lineup has serious issues when they face lefty pitching. Plus Joel discusses everything surrounding Pete Rose in Joel’s Notebook.

  1. This is why prospects will never prosper in this organization cause the fan the media won’t allow a prospect to flourish cause is win win win now there’s no room to breath. Fuck this front office!

  2. Perhaps Jose loves the 2024 Mets experience so much he turned down the Yankees wanting to preserve those memories for the Met fan base, or Yanks hate the Mets so much now they never made him an offer?

  3. When are GMs going to realize & start acting that players are depreciating assets like cars, not properties. They are paying for historical values not future values

  4. Love Michael King but why is Joel still talking about what the Yankees gave up for Soto when they have since developed Gil about to find something with Warren.

  5. This was like an edition of the Padres Post today. Joel couldn't stop talking about them and Michael King. Still enjoyed it though!

  6. What is Joel Sherman, an obvious Mets fan, doing covering the NYY? It's bad enough dealing with Cashman/Boone incompetence and now Hal's frugal nature but listening to Joel crap on the Yankees even when they do things right is just intolerable. I'd much rather listen to Heyman who can at least appear impartial.

  7. I disagree with Joel’s logic saying Stantons injury is less impactful because the Yankees have to anticipate that. Well yes… but then you admit they did not do anything personnel-wise to safeguard.

  8. As a Met fan, I love Iglesias, and that has nothing to do with his singing career. Clutch hitter, great fielder, good runner, and he runs hard. Heckuva player.

  9. It eventually came out that Eliot Asimof's book, Eight Men Out, was rather dishonest, heavily biased in favor of the White Sox players.

  10. Saying a player will really make it or really not make it ( boom or bust ) is a cop out. Those are opposite ends o the spectrum. A better prediction is always somewhere in between.

  11. Dominguez needs to be the centerfielder with Judge in right and Bellinger in left. Yanks also should consider signing Verdugo to a one year deal. I think he can do better offensively in addition to his excellence in defense.
