Manchester United bowed out of the Emirates FA Cup in Sunday afternoon’s fifth-round clash with Fulham at Old Trafford.
The first half wasn’t one that will live too long in the memory, but it’s fair to say United were marginally the superior side throughout the 45 minutes.
It was therefore tough to take when Calvin Bassey nodded home the visitors’ opener mere seconds before the conclusion of the half, leaving the Reds an uphill battle on the other side of the break.
Fulham came back out strongly from the interval, but their lead was shattered when Bruno Fernandes found the bottom-right corner with a guided finish from inside the penalty area.
Extra-time and penalties were needed to decide the winner and, unfortunately, it was the visitors who were to advance to the next round of the cup, winning 4-3 in a shootout.

Goes to show a that if a 17 year old kid can show up your starting striker by focusing on his own game and not roughing up a defender, then you could buy pretty much buy ANY striker and he'll be more effective than Hojlund.
I really backed that lad, now he's got to get comfortable on the bench.
Shame Dan gore is injured. Felt he was ready to get some minutes in a position of need
Play amass with him they already have an understanding
Let the media shout the fuxk off, they are only there to see United downfall😢😢😢
Lads we have back the team. It’s a major lack of confidence issue. That’s all it is. I do like hujland and think he always puts a shift in I just think he needs the pressure taken off him from time to time. But we do need to get a world class striker in in the summer we will a different team next year. Got to back the manager and have patience.
I don't know what's happened to Hojlund, he had Ruud there coaching him for months.
My only theory is that Glazferatu is there sucking the lifeblood out of every player in the first team.
We shouldn't be loosing any games
Discusting players downed tools it's draining out
Same inept performances and results you see most times and far too many
Don't matter what game it is what's the opposition what league competition premier league fa cup europa league champions league semi final quarters we shouldn't be loosing against any one
We shouldn't have fulham dancing on our turf
He's not ready yet but if we can give him 30mins in every match so that he'll learn/practice he'll certainly get his goal
Deligt has been solid since he arrived yet vs Fulham he was world-class. Put his body on the line repeatedly !
Chido is a great talent but there is no way you can say he had a bright performance after that trampoline touch from the pass he got from Fernandes. Any decent striker in the premier league has to do better with that chance, he’s just not ready for this level yet
In my opinion you’re focusing on these youngsters and what impact they can have on the quality of the team – all your points I totally agree with. I think Amorim is protecting them, imagine being 17 and being subjected to the level of scrutiny that our current crop get. Whilst there would be an upgrade in quality and effort, I think it makes more sense to limp over the finish this season and rebuild for next.
Cmon, we have to stop doing this Chido is not ready, we have done this so many times, Adnan, Elanga, let the kid mature first, our front line is too young already and you want a 17yr old
obi martin is a donkey and a fellaini wannabe
De Ligt – bar a couple games (and you can say that for most players) – has been good-excellent all season.
In De Ligt, Yoro, Heaven, Dorgu, Mainoo, Ugarte, Obi, and 4-5 other youth talents (hopefully) and maybe even JZ still / there is at least a basis of a fresh team.
That’s about all i can take from this season.
I think the players not making simple passed and doing weird , stupid shit , Has alot to do with trying to implement what amorin is teaching and they're all having their own slight interpretations of position , Movement etc also the fact they're trying to learn but also play well and win games at the same time, Is absolutely brutal because united fans we cant lower our expectations , So just means they're ways overreaching
Ste, I reckon Amorim is protecting the young players. He knows the season is a disaster. He’s clearly said in recent interviews that the existing squad are just not good enough and he’s going to let them go.
Obi is nowhere near ready. But, without game time then when will he be..? Apparently he can't play in europa because he wasn't registered in time….!
Anyone noticed how well it hits the beat in the background when he says "don't forget to subscribe" at the end of every video 😂
It's funny how you call them "youngsters" while our main strikers are 21-22. We are literally a team of kids.
While I understand the argument for bedding in young players, why can't Obi be the wonder kid who starts (like Rooney, Mbappe, Owen even).
Too young. But should be given more chances and more minutes at the pitch. He shouldn't be treated as our main 9 but a back up
The Media Agenda against United is absalutly Shocking compared to other teams ……
Think De Ligt adapted into the Premier league and grown and got better each game deffo on. to Keep ……. I d PLay Chido now till end of Season had more inpact in 35 mins then Rasmus IN last 18 games even more shots !!!!
Chido should still feature in bursts in my opinion to build his confidence & experience, I agree with not playing full 90's yet though as throwing him in the 1st team meat grinder is too much too soon, let him have a steady return for now featuring, don't run him into the ground and let him improve, he could be important for us going forward in the coming years.
If chido isn't ready than for sure rusmus is more unready than him. Chido link up play and football iq far outweighs rasmus current game.
He looked a bit lost at times (which is totally understandable considering his age) and without the ball he looks disinterested and cumbersome.
Hooking Rasmus for a 17 year old will destroy the very little confidence he has.
I can see Ruben doing what he’s been doing lately by giving one 60 and the other 30. Hopefully it eases the pressure off both.
Let Amorim switch to 4 in defence. Why is benching Casemiro
