Still difficult to say where Deki fits. Playing him in midfield with Bentancur and Maddison to play Johnson on the wing is one of our most creative combinations but also the slowest, least athletic and most vulnerable combination (which might not be the terrible against this Man City team). The players have too many deficiencies in their game…it would be nice to have midfield and winger options who can dribble, pass, defend and shoot all at once
I thought the midfield formula from early in the season with an anchor & Medders & Deki was the solution for the elusive low block formula. Could this be a midfield anchored by Bergvall? Or Gray in years to come

No, he only played him because there were too many injuries and he had no choice. His explanation is quite laughable. Leaving him out of the EL squad was a huge mistake as it contributed to Udogie's injury.

Do you think we are going to win the EL defending like that? Every team knows how to cut through our team and create huge chances, like Everton, Villa, Ipswich, Liverpool and City yesterday. We simply concede too many huge chances. City could have been 0-4 at HT yesterday.
Defending like that makes it impossible to win the EL.
You need an efficient defensive structure to win the EL, but it's too easy to score vs us. Ange is tactically incompetent. He is very often beaten by the opposition manager. Everton, Villa or City could have been leading 4-0 at HT and I hate to see that.
