Olivier Giroud has been overlooked for much of his career. Or at the very least, has always been seen as a support to “more talented” or noteworthy players around him. And while the support aspect is true, it is used against him while it should be celebrated. Giroud makes his teammates better, and he has finally started to get the appreciation he deserves.

Do you have plans to do roots of the rivalry about the big three clubs in Portugal ?🇵🇹⚽️🥅
Since 2018 Giroud has been a winner and I think he left Arsenal in 2018 ever since he has been a major behind-the-scenes winner. Europa League, CL, WC, Serie A. This guy just needs the conference league as his crowning achievement as the player who has won every European trophy.
Giroud might be the next Pep .
💪
Still a fan. Always a fan
Part of his longevity is because his game has NEVER relied on pace.
Giroud is not Underrated, he is Underappreciated, players like him has a performance that can't be measured by numbers or stats, other players like Scholes or Busquets do have the same sort of factor, you may not see nothing special in them on the pitch, but you will notice their absence when they are not playing.
💙
I've always loved Giroud. I always felt he was kind of a scapegoat at Arsenal. I was devastated when Lacazette came in and basically pushed Giroud out to Chelsea. I followed both of their stats for a couple of seasons and Lacazette never really distinguished himself in the numbers vs Giroud. On top of that, he didn't have the same level of set up passes (think the Wilshere goal) nor a "Meaty French Forehead." I feel like Arsenal lost his leadership too, which we've needed ever since.
I'm glad that he's had such a successful career post-Arsenal though. I've been keeping tabs on him since his departure and it always brings me a smile when he wins something. That 2018 World Cup run was amazing. Such a great way to confound critics. His game was all about the set up for Grizmann and Mbappe. It just made the whole team click.
Thanks for the video!
I've always admired giroud , his hold up and flicks be amazing alot of players just dont score , watch him closely those 1 time passes he got that locked
This video is fucking ridiculous. Just watch the CL game at the Emirates Arsenal vs Monaco. The chances he missed in that game show his career in a microcosm, when asked to be the main man he was a choke artist. When riding the coattails of a billion pound squad from the bench he deserves respect?!? GTFOH
He’ll be remembered as a donkey who through friendly international goal nearly finagled is way to Frances top scorer.
A donkey with good hair, nothing more.
im just enter the video to coment that this player its not even a reel baller and dosnt get any respect from me
If he played for a better side in his 20s he would be given more respect
The most beautiful striker the game has ever seen😂🔥🔥🔥

On my eyes he will always be a Chelsea legend, ciminally underrated
I might be bias, but i loved him in Arsenal. Did he score 30 goals a season? no. But he was so much more than just goals. Even tho hes a big (physical striker) he was so much more than just headers and tap ins.
Girouds force ,imo, is hes abillity do drop down and anticipate in the build up, and do it good. He understand the game, understand how to set up teammates etc etc. Wich imo is a rare trade for a striker with he's physical build. Now did he have Oscar Cardozo's finishing or Berbatov's? no.. but he certainly works hes *ss of and helps the team. (and im sorry he did that from the wenger days, if you cant see that, you didnt watch arsenal back then).
Being a good striker can be so much more than just an insane goals pr game ratio, depending on the team you play on, firmirno, bergkamp and drogba are great examples of that.
Now do i say he's the greatest of all time? not a f*cking change mate. But he deserves the credit, and people who can't see that, are type of people that looks to much at stats, and watch to little football.
as an arsenal and ac milan fan who for some reason hated giroud in my early years of liking arsenal, i’ve completely come around and absolutely love and deeply respect this man
Man is underrated af.
Players like him don't play for spotlight but for team.
Dzeko is another that comes to mind , more or less same story.
Benzema's role when CR7 was there
