🟡 💪 Confidence High, But Focused on Consistency
St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson says his side is riding high on confidence after their impressive victory last weekend but insists they must follow it up with another strong performance against Hearts:

🗣️ “It was a deserved win, and I think we’ve played very well over the last three games. But I’ve reiterated to the players that if we don’t follow that up with a result on Wednesday, it loses its importance. We need to build on it.”

With just six games remaining before the split, Robinson is determined for St Mirren to continue their momentum and secure another top-six finish.

🟠 🆚 Hearts: High Stakes, But No Pressure for St Mirren
Facing an in-form Hearts side, Robinson is under no illusions about the challenge ahead but believes all the pressure lies with their opponents:

🗣️ “All the expectation is on Hearts. For them, success is finishing in the top three or four — for us, it’s solidifying our place in this division. We can play without pressure and focus on achieving our goals. We know we can do it.”

Robinson reflected on their last encounter with Hearts, where St Mirren were the better side in regular time before losing in extra time, and he’s confident they can cause an upset this time around.

âš˝ đź‘€ Managing the Threat of Kabangu & Shankland
One of Hearts’ standout players this season has been Elton Kabangu, who’s been on fire in recent games. But Robinson believes his defence is up to the task:

🗣️ “Our back three handled him well last time. Alex Gogić and the boys at the back dealt with the physical threat. But Hearts have more than just Kabangu — Shankland’s a big danger too. We’ll need to be at our best.”

🤝 💔 On Philippe Clement’s Sacking at Rangers
Robinson also shared his thoughts on the recent sacking of Philippe Clement at Rangers following their loss to St Mirren:

🗣️ “It’s never nice to see anyone lose their job. Football’s a harsh industry — it forgets that we’re all human, with families and lives outside the game. I feel for him, and I’m sure he’ll be back. He’s a good manager who just had a tough run.”

💥 🏆 “Top Six Would Be My Biggest Achievement”
When asked about the potential of St Mirren securing a top-six finish for a third consecutive season, Robinson didn’t hesitate to call it his greatest achievement yet:

🗣️ “This would be the biggest achievement, without a doubt. The resources we have compared to other clubs — we shouldn’t even be competing at this level. We’re still training without a proper facility, we’ve lost key players, and yet we’re here, fighting. It’s a credit to the players’ commitment and resilience.”

🏥 ⚕️ Injury Updates: Mooney’s Surgery & Defensive Doubts

Evan Mooney will require minor ankle surgery but could feature in the Celtic match before the operation.

Alex Greive returned to training this week and could be in contention.

Killian Phillips, Keanu Baccus, and Ryan Strain are all doubts for the Hearts game after picking up knocks.

Kwon Hyeok-kyu remains unavailable.

🖤 👏 Captain Mark O’Hara’s Strength in Adversity
Robinson paid tribute to captain Mark O’Hara for his leadership and resilience after playing through personal grief during the recent win over Rangers:

🗣️ “Mark’s an unsung hero. His grandfather passed away just two nights before the game, but he still delivered a captain’s performance. That shows his character — he’s a true professional who leads by example.”

🔥 ⚔️ Hearts vs St Mirren — What to Expect:
St Mirren head into the clash with confidence, looking to strengthen their top-six ambitions.
Hearts are on an impressive run, but Robinson’s men know they can compete, having pushed Hearts all the way in recent matches.
