Even though we're not fully at the end yet, this season has really made me realize just how immensely special this squad has been. I will shed a tear when Bernardo, KDB and other vets play their last game for this club.
What a treat. Im a 45 year old City fan. Lakey was an absolute pro, majestic in games. I was at the game when big roy Bailey saved the day.

Lakey is a legend to us true blues. That day in Sept '89, the battles with Gascoigne and the Youth Cup victory. We even share same the birthday and I met him on my 21st. Lovely bloke. Top series City TV 👏🏻💙

This is utterly brilliant tbh. With social media the way it is now, u don't feel the bond with the player that u did b4. Paul Lake was my childhood hero, but he had horrible injuries.
But to see these guys together, so intelligent in human terms, was brilliant 👏.

Two absolute legends for City Lakey would have been one of the all time greats if it were not for the career ending injuries he suffered ,was a pleasure to watch him play .
Bernardo getting to sit with one of the greatest City players ever… oh what he could have been though. Went on Blue Tuesday with Lakey years ago, top bloke and in my all time City 11.
