At the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference, President Donald Trump’s Department of Housing and Urban Development secretary, Scott Turner, delivered a speech in which he recounted growing up in Texas, his NFL playing career and his path to becoming a politician.
Turner played eight season in the NFL after being drafted by Washington in the seventh round of the 1995 NFL Draft. Turner played three seasons in Washington, four in San Diego and his final season in 2003 with the Denver Broncos.
