Welcome to episode 41 of the DSPN – Devlin Sports Podcast Network…

Veteran Sky Sport rugby commentator Tony Johnson joins Marty in studio to preview the opening round of Super Rugby Pacific this weekend. The Crusaders and Hurricanes kick off the competition from Christchurch. Are the defending-champion Blues the favourites? Can the Highlanders exceed expectations? Tony and Marty answer all of that and more.

– Marty and producer Lachlan Waugh present the Tight 5, where they dissect and debate five separate sporting topics. Today they talk about the ongoing trial involving former Spanish football president Luis Rubiales, New Zealand Rugby’s collapsed sponsorship deal with Ineos, and more.

– Miles Davis is back talking nothing but absolute bollocks, such as Sam Kerr being found not guilty of racial abuse, England’s tight win over France in the Six Nations, and the Champions League.

All that and much more!

  1. Four co-captains is ridiculous! Name one captain and a vice-captain. The captain gets injured, the vice-captain takes over. It's simple! Canes have gone full-blown woke!

  2. Fergus Burke has actually gone to the UK to play for Salaries in London whilst admittedly having accepted the call to join the Scotland Squad for the 2025 6N. Dependent upon Finn Russel's recovery from his concussion incurred via a Friendly Fire Head Knock, Fergus may get to be on the bench when Sco go to Twickers on the 22nd Feb

  3. Every/most teams have 'Off Field' Leadership Groups so the 4 Co-Captains is just an 'On Field' rebranding/variation of the Leadership Group. On the Game Day, the Ref should only allow 2 of them to speak to the Ref.
