That tackle was close to giving or deserving red card. Only thing missing was that he had kept his legs straight locked which would show intent to harm but he didnt so he was trying to deescalate his very reckless tackle from behind. Although still very daring tackle indeed

The crowd would have turned on the player from Panama for forcing Messi out of the game and so would the media.
