A Mathys Tel goal late on made it 2-1.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side includes; Emi Martinez, John McGinn, Andre Onana, Pau Torres, Lucas Digne, Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Morgan Rodgers, Ollie Watkins, Youri Tielemans, Jacob Ramsey, Boubacar kamara, Leon Bailey and Donyell Malen.

Tottenham Hotspur have not been quite as active in the transfer window this summer – only signing Archie Gray from Leeds United and Yang Min-hyuk from Gangwon FC, Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth and Wilson Odobert from Burnley and Antonin Kinsky (Antonín Kinský) from Slavia Prague and Kevin Danso from RC Lens – but over the last few years under Ange Postecoglou Spurs have been building a top youth side.

With the help of Daniel Levy, Scott Munn, Johan Lange and Fabio Paratici Spurs have lowered the average age of the squad to 25.

The Premier League is heating up with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bournemouth, Burnley, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Luton Town, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolves aka Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ipswich Town, Southampton and Leicester City.

The former Celtic, Yokohama F. Marinos, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham squad include Guglielmo Vicario, Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojberg, Dejan Kulusevski, Bryan Gil, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-Min (손흥민) Richarlison, Pape Matar Sarr, Jamie Donley, Alfie Dorrington, Ashley Phillips, Oliver Skipp, Rodrigo Bentancur, Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence, Ryan Sessegnon, Micky van de Ven, Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin, James Maddison and Dane Scarlett, Manor Solomon, Alejo Veliz, Giovani Lo Celso, Ben Davies, Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin, Alfie Whiteman, Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga, Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon, Lucas Bergvall, Mikey Moore, Archie Gray, Yang Min-hyuk, Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, Luka Vuskovic and and Antonin Kinsky (Antonín Kinský)

  1. Being out if these cups will reduced the games played.
Hopefully the players will be refreshed for the bigger prize, the Europa cup.
Also these players just played a couple of days ago, villa had more time to prepare.
Everyone got their opinion, im Ange in at least to the end of the season.

  2. It needs to be studied how this man still has people blindly backing him when he has shown absolutely nothing. All the clubs around us in the league have sacked their managers, despite all having lower expectations than we should have (apart from united), been absolutely useless since 10 games nearly two years ago, tactically clueless, a CV that should have got him a League 1 job… yet it’s “back Ange!” genuinely astonishing

  3. Why can every team we play against pass the ball through us like a knife through butter? It must be down to tactics. Am I wrong? Not only that we have several players who are so easy to win possession off – Sonny and Kulu. Why are they even in the squad when the Academy boys would not be any worse but would certainly offer freshness as shown against Elfsborg?
We have to start again by selling Richi, Kulu, Bissouma, Bentancour, Johnson and keeping Sonny as a sub only. The new team should be built around the back 4 of today together with Bergwall, Tel, Odubert, Moore, Ajahi, Phillips, Scarlett, every other Academy player, Solanke, Romero and VDV. Kinski showed a lot of guts after his howler which could have destroyed many keepers.
If Kinski had not fumbled the first goal and Sonny had converted the brilliant cross from Moore then we would obviously have won but that result would have been papering over the cracks. If you look back at the start of the season we were fresh and were all over Leicester, Newcastle and Brighton. The lack of clinical finishing then cost us 8 points which then seemed to spiral out of control. Ange ball with Romero, VDV, Udogie, Maddison all fit, together with the new Spence, Bergwall,, Moore and Tel, but keeping out Sonny, Kulu, Johnson, Richi and Werner is a powerful force. I do not know if we will ever see that.

  4. Tottenham fans knew they were going to lose today. You guys are just venting. Take into account the injuries and lack of support during the Jan window. Focus on Levy and let Ange have at least the first 2-3 months of next season to determine how much of a problem he is. No point bringing in a “star” manager. Levy will let them down as he always does.

  5. Sonny, It’s not Ange Ball it’s putting out what we got and hope for the best. There was no game plan and no midfield and no fight again from the players. As much as I like Ange he’s not willing to change his philosophy for the good of the team and club. The trouble is who can come in and take over? I think we will have to ride it out until the end of the season. Hopefully we can still come together for the Europa league cup and stay in the premiership 🙏

  6. Tbf this is going like in fifa career mode, batter that team in the Europa league, win against Brentford, lose the 2 cups and then go on a unbeaten streak… this is strange because if he wins the Europa league then what?

  7. Im Ange in……………..till he gets his full team back. If results and perfomances dont change then he has no excuse. But for now i dont know why everyone expects us to be any better than we were a month ago????? Weve got evem less fit players now than we did then were more fatigued as a sqaud as weve been non stop thursday sunday thursday sunday……..Ange hasnt even been able to have proper traingin sessions for the last 3months due to the schedule!!! Spurs fans to to stop expecting miricles everygame as our situation squad wise has only worsened FFS!!!

  8. Conte was right these players r shit an he bought English instead of Spanish an Europe ns better players Spanish an Europe levy give him money an he wasted it on 1 division English players

  9. This an absolute joke! But, honestly, I don’t know who’s the one to blame at this point. Ange Postecoglou seems to care about the players and somehow he has a point when he said that we had quite a few players injured and starting an 18-year-old player, a 21-year old- goalie, Danso and Davies are technically the only centre-back available, and what are we gonna do if one of them pick up an injury, we’ll continue to rely on Archie Gray who has played decently well, but it’s not enough. Definitely, Tottenham should have brought several players in any position that would allow us to rotate the squad for the tournaments remaining, but as long as Levy is still in charge of the club, nothing is going to change. I just took this last statement from Antonio Conte and now we’ve realized that his last interview was spot on.

  10. It'll just be like Levy to sack Postecoglou now, so as to coincide with our players returning back from injury.. The new guy Mason or whoever, will then benefit from the pick-up in results, and Levy will look good again in his decision making.

The correct thing to do would be to hold any managerial decision until the summer, and then should we decide to part ways with Postecoglou, we can then have another manager with PL experience, such as Iraola or Silva, come in..

But we won't do that as the Spurs ownership is all about self-presevation and not what's best for the football club. The ownership need an uplift in their PR with the fans, and a mid season sacking is their way. We're being played by the ownership, but way too many in the fanbase refuse to see it and will just be happy to see Postecoglou shown the door. They will then thank our know it all chairman just as they usually do for yet another manager sacking.

It's so dumb rinse and repeat.

  11. When the going gets tough, the tough get going and the gutless go off into distance. Ange in at least until the Europa Cup is over. The Swedish fans showed you what loyalty is.

  12. Sonny, with all due respect, your knee jerk reaction to sack the manager is completely ridiculous and an overreaction to an extremely difficult situation So you really think a new manager will magically bring all the injured players back? That a new manager will miraculously rejuvenate a threadbare team that is completely exhausted? Come on, think it through properly.

  13. I am fully Ange out now. He doesnt deserve to have his name dragged through the mud by the toxic elements of our fanbase or the half hearted financial support of the club. Let him go so he can go to a club that wants to win and get back to winning trophies

  14. Look at Liverpool. They kept 2 starters out and they got knocked out by Plymouth argyle LoL. We've kept 7 of our starters out and if you look at the trends, Ange has tweaked the in game formation of a team more than anyone else. He's trying everything he can. It's nit working. Yiu can't blame him entirely. Yes you van bkame hin for not playing Tel at 9 the whole game. He scored from the very first chance he git at 9. Si that's a positive. Rest I'm just as mad at you. It's all individual mistakes. Nit entirely on the manager. If so, all the players who are performing are swearing by Ange. Kulu, Spence, Tel. Villa had rest we hadn't. It's the first time we'll have a Thursday off this week. So I guess we'll recover from the shambles we're in rn.

  15. Just saw the clip for the Liverpool loss. Not one Arne Out comment to be seen in the comments. The Reds starting line up was reminiscent of what Ange had to do for months. Most "so called" Tottenham fans are cooked! Back your team ffs! But tbh I sometimes agree with you… Ange Out?… yes, he deserves to be at a team with fans that back him. You lot want to fire every coach after each loss, and it's been working out really good it seems. I am an Aussie and definitely biased, but I back Ange because I have seen this guy work his magic over and over from the very start of his career! He's human, won't get everything right all the time, but when he does it is fantastic football!

  16. Since you said at 0:24 "I am absolutely done with this football club", when will you be deleting your channel? Will you pop up again as "Sonny Talks (fill in name of club that wins the most)"?

  17. No defense of this? How about 12 first team players out and the same 12 players playing twice a week? They’re all gassed. I know whining gets you more views but it’s now boring

  18. I can't watch the game as soon as the goal went in, I'm in Hong Kong the time was 2am and I was falling asleep. It was embarrassment😮😡😡we are finished can't win anything…😢 Ange have to go 😔
