Much of this is thanks to his more attacking role but what exactly does it involve? This video aims to explain Xhaka’s redemption at Arsenal by explaining what’s changed in his game now that he’s playing in a more offensive role…

Injury-prone is a word that should also describe him. He would hit world class status if he could stay free of injuries. An alien!
What absolute nonsense that goes totally beyond embarrassing!
The fact is Arsenal undeer cone layer and the other clown Edu are clueless for not replacing this clown and too spineless to after he disrespected his own fans by telling them all to f*ck off after yet another failed season of him captaining them outside the top 4. Only at Arsenal.
He's never done it with hem since he arrived and probably neve will because he's just a liability and will let the team down again sooner rather than later.
The most frustrating thing about him is Arsenal could of signed N'Goo Kante for 2m quid less which Arsene Wenger recently admitted was his biggest regret while at the club.
Even the great Wenger and Emery didn't know Xhaka could play well as a left mezzala, but I wonder whether other midfielder could do a better job or not? Odegaard, Smith-Rowe and Patino couldn't play well in the left mezzala position, but maybe they need more time for that
7 years a failure for Granit Xhaka but after 8 games it's now a redemption for him?
Ffs Dave you must be seriously struggling for new content or you've finally realised that Arsenals plastic online fanbase who think the Emirates is in Hong Kong will believe anything because they're weak and gullible.
Just saying…
His not “just in good form” his been playing this way for 18 months now, big up the man amazing mentality never thought I’d say that 💪
Great analysis Dave! Highlighting both the good and the bad, and reaching the right conclusion! Keep up the good work!
Basically he was played in wrong position last 7 years
JAY-ZUZ not Hayzuz! Christ. Unsubbed cos it's so fucking annoying lol
Always loved him. So happy for the guy
Respect == Xhaka
Xhaka? You're welcome. 😉
Cheers from Switzerland
Granit pheonix xhaka
Roles are super important to how a player plays, yet nobody alive seems to take this mindset to Harry Maguire, i honestly feel for the guy.
I'm still not convinced by Xhaka. Sorry. I just think the TEAM is in good form. Xhaka's footballing skills are overhyped in my book. Yeah he's a decent player but his tackles are not remotely as efficient as say Partey's; his shots are only rarely great; his short passing is extremely simple saving for the rare occasions magic; his long balls are his strength but then again almost all the players at arsenal are capable of that. His Leadership Qualities, fitness and work ethic do make him a great player to have in the squad but the hype around him at the moment like saying "most important player at arsenal" is a wild exaggeration. Thomas Partey is the most important player. I think Xhaka needs to focus on his weaknesses like dribbling, turning, keeping the ball, and overall finesse. He would absolutely fit Mourinho's teams. But I'm not convinced for Arsenal. I think he just grew into his current form because he is given a LOT of trust and game time by Arteta. But if the team loses it's current form then Xhaka will struggle in my view. I think Zinchenko could play his current role much better. I wanna see Tierney get a chance at LB as well as he's a much better left back. But please don't get me wrong I love Xhaka. Mainly coz I know he gives it his all. And he'll make a great coach.
Yes sir, I for one, am pretty impressed by Xhaka's improved contribution to our game and more so after this masterly statistical analysis of the video, thanks.
I made it 300😂😂😂😂😂
xhaka looks very dangerous but hidden at the same time. opponent will always too busy on martinelli jesus and saka and forgetting there is xhaka who can bring real threat to them.
Granit is good, since Patrick Viera left the Club, team demanded such a passionate player a player who gives his best for the badge and the one who's there to defend and encourage youngest players,he brought some mess whe he was playing as a CDM but once Mikel gives him box to box role he stayed marvelous and kept defending youngest players against bad asses in the pitch and encourage them
Xhaka may be those type of players who age like fine wine on the pitch. He was temperamental before but now he’s having fun and uses bursts of energy very well.
If Arteta was MU manager he will show the world "The real Pogba" like MU fans always said
Xhaka play near opponent's Box really help him a lot, he can pass, shot easier and if he make a fault, it's will happen near the Box before other team counter or in the middle of the field, less change to get a card form him.
In other words he plays the Bernado Silver roll. They’ve been using the Man City blue print. It’ll be good when they play each other to see the progress.
Let's apply same to Nicolas Pepe. Let's uncover the ivory coast Nico. Because he's always great for country
300000
ya know how joelinton was a misunderstood pressing forward and Eddie Howe turned him into a world class box to box / ball winning midfielder? Well, Arteta has turned Xhaka from an unreliable holding midfielder to an attacking 8 who is contributing with goals and assists.
I really don’t like the guy, however he’s been immense recently. I want him to do well I just am still furious about the other year. Imagine what an advanced 8 would do in this role such as Aouar who would be quite cheap or tielemens
This is a really careful well done reserch, observation and execution in the presentation…top notch analysis!!!💯
Another reason that will make arsenal a threat in the PL is because the players are young, energetic and ambitious and they are not only playing for the team but also to better themselves and thats what special about Arsenal at the moment.
A discord group kicked me out when I defended Xhaka in Emery's last days.
Emery's insane decision to limit Xhaka behind our half is the worst tactical decision I've ever seen in Arsenal. He's smart to spot the problem but too slow to stop it.
So why bother to play him defensively. We should've play Xhaka in his Swiss role.
