Birmingham City have added South Korean International Myung-Jae Lee to their squad in the final hours of the 2024/25 season. In doing so Blues have added an experienced flying left back who will provide much needed cover and competition for current first choice left back Alex Cochrane. Myung-Jae Lee will benefit from the fact that his South Korean compatriot Paik Seung-Ho is already at Birmingham City who will no doubt help him with the transition from the South Korean K-League to the hustle and bustle of the English Football League. This looks like another fantastic addition to the Birmingham City Squad who is likely to play a key role for the rest of the season.
In this Podcast we discuss Birmingham City’s exciting new signing. Learn all about his former transfers, playing style, career highlights, and the player could be the perfect addition to the Blues squad. As Birmingham City fans we explain what we can expect from our new addition.

2nd KRO ππππ
Interesting video seems like he will be a decent fit for us. Well done Matt with your prediction for Stevenage you said 1 – 0 in 85 minute what was it the 83 minute
Interesting video think he will be good cover for left back. Well done Matt with your prediction for the Stevenage game only 1 minute out
Very poor prediction on the Stevenage game you clearly said 1-0 to Blues with a 85th minute winner. When in fact it was the 83rd minute how bad was that. Your accuracy really needs to improveπππ
Heat Maps? you're getting a bit technical now. This is Blues you know π
Brilliant result against Stevenage. Just one game away from Wembleyπ
Well done Matt…. the range of between the 80th – 85th minute for the winning goal, I think it's fair to say that he got his 1 – 0 prediction spot on!! π
With regards to signing of Lee Myung-jae. What a sensible bit of business once again by Blues. An area that we needed to strengthen in terms of quality and cover. Being left footed he will provide natural balance and it gives us the opportunity to give Cochrane a rest. In addition he clearly is a player of good pedigree and to give him a contract until the end of the season just makes and shows perfect sense.
Well done Blues yet again for another bit of brilliant business in the transfer market. The club clearly has a very clear and concise transfer policy. The manner in which the club goes about its business is so professional. It is a fantastic advertisement when looking to bring more players in in the future.
Welcome to Blues Lee Myung-jae.
KRO π
He is a quality player another one too good for league 1.
Mystic Matt on the money last night! Glad we can give Cochrane a breather now. KRO
How do we know that he's cover for Cochrane? I'm so pleased Gary that you mention at the end of the video that could Myung -Jae Lee actually cement a place in the first team. Without competition of places then you haven't got a true squad. We are certainly building that. As I said last week that Dowell will play a bigger role than we may think and look at what he's doing already. I have a feeling that this lad could very well get a head of Cochrane and I would not have said that before. This team will have to keep on evolving and getting better it's as simple as that.
π π§’ π΅π I GARY AND MATT NEW PLAYERS welcome LEE TO THE ROYAL BLUES YES HAPPY TIMES YES BLUES WILL BE AT WEMBLEY ππ I HOPE π YES STANSFIELD IS THE NUMBER ONE FOR THE ROYAL BLUES π π΅…KRO ..
Heat maps? Some of players and teams weve had to watch over the last decade or so, would have been all white or blue the effort ( or lack of it) some of them put in ππ
Don't think him being a free agent is anything to be worried about. The k league finished in November so he's in the off season. From his interview it sounded like he wanted a new challenge so presumably ran down his contract and then looked at offers.
Interesting that we're looking at the k league as a place to find players, we must have a scout out there. Not aware of many other English clubs doing that, Korean players have traditionally gone to Germany (like Son did)
Spot on with your prediction Matt what numbers you had the lottery π
Just to mention, anybody who knows me knows i dont think much of that club in B6. But on Saturday night i went to a fund raiser for young Leo Ross, a lot of money was raised, and credit where credits due , the Villa sent quite a bit of stuff over to go into the raffle which went for quite a bit of money. So fair play to them. Stansfield shirt went for Β£350 , i think it was
Matt, Gary, remember the days when after a game we sat around talking about so and soβs goal or perhaps, how did Gary Sprake drop that!!
Now we sit around talking about PSR, how can they afford him! and of course, have you seen his heat map! π
How the game has changed and how us fans have evolved.
KRO.
Hi. Your podcasts are really timely and informative. Well done. So weβve got a South Korean contingent now, as there are 2 or 3 girls too. So plenty of Asian players at the club. Another shrewd signing, got to take our hats off to the recruitment process presently; Iβm liking it. And as for this guy his cv is spot on. Top team player in front of 40,000 crowds, an international in a country of some stature (and weβre in the third division). So so positive KRO
For the algorithm π
How exciting! At what point in the past 14 years have we had blues players telling their friends to come to blues β¦βitβs brilliant and get here quickβ?!
Never! I tell you now I just love this club! All the speeding tickets and all the fines cannot keep me away! There is always the train π€£π€£π€£ KRO Fellas!
Hi Gary & Matt, not a tremendous game devoid of any atmosphere .. much harder obstacle Saturday, Jay got the all important goal.. interesting about the new left back not heard much about him.. KRO
Great prediction Matt hope you bet your bus on it! π
Thanks guys, interesting π§ KRO from Brazil π§π·
Stanno, what a guy, once he went scampering off with the ball, there was only one outcome, and what a brilliant pass from Marc Leonard, top player. Wembley still in sight, great podcast guys. Love from Alison in John O Groats
Good win Steve 0. 1 Birmingham City next game Birmingham City Newcastle Utd February 8 on Saturday from Leeburke
