Become a pro goalkeeper is such a big challenge. There only small chances for you to get through youth system until you get your first professional contract. Long after that, if the club still want you, they will send you on loan to gain first team experience and watch your development. But there also a big doubt of your future. You still don't know where and when will you get a chance to prove your ability to the world. The chance is getting smaller when the club is sign in a new goalkeeper. You'll end up getting released and try yo find another club. Even to you developed very well, there is no guarantee you'll have a place on the first team. Maybe you will just only become a forever backup goalkeeper or a bright future is coming to you when a club giving you the chances you need.
Mendy is one those people that never give up and face risks head on.
