  1. If you are using headphones, the audio may only come from the left ear, we apologise for this as it is an editing error. Won't happen next time.

  2. I think Nourafkan is not good enough for starting 11. I think we should go with Vahid Amiri left back and give Saman Ghoddos a chance in the starting 11. Also I think Noroullahi is not good enough for start…we can play Ghoddos and play Ghaedi on the left. Apart from that the rest were good. Also we should really be keeping possession against teams like UAE and passing more. UAE actually did better in terms of the overall stats which was surprising but even Iraq had better basic football stats. We also need to press from the front instead of being lazy…were too too relaxed on the ball and that could cause issues against Korea.

  3. Love the detailed analysis guys. Great to see Sahar part of your team. Our female football lovers must be involved in this campaign. Good on you. With too many players abroad TM always short with time to get ready as a team. Hence. The first game always been sloppy. they need at least one proper game before they can be themselves. I feel we need an arrangement that includes Saman (I agree he is not as proactive in his defensive work but others like Saeed & Amiri should take care of that). We need his type if creativity and shoot from distance in our game. Saeed whilst great/effective holding midfielder but with his delayed passes still not a playmaker that TM needs to complete the puzzle. Unfortunately Nooralahee is not at his best for whatever reason to cover that. Sahar was spot on, he was almost missing in the UAE game. Someone like Saman around him should compensate for that or at least he should get the chance to show what he can do. He did show us a bit in previous games. I know it may be a bit of risk but better to take it in this round rather later.

  4. Guys don't be surprised if Korea play better than us in Azadi. I'm just saying. They will probably have more possession, press better and pass better. I think Skocic is going to rely on counter attacks – personally I hate this style of football but the important thing is to win.

  5. I think ezzatolahi is fantastic and as Sahar said "underrated." Yes he is out of shape but if you notice he constantly has his head up looking to see who is open…he switches field very nice with accuracy.

  6. I have gotten a lot of heat from Iranian fans for this but I stand by it. I think if you look at the total package, Taremi is the best forward we have ever had. As good as Sardar is he doesn't touch Taremi. Taremi has pace, nose for the ball, passing, great in the air….he scores against the best European clubs. Sardar's weakness is he has a bad first touch and loses his balance sometimes…but Taremi is something else!!!

  7. Great job and analysis guys and gal. Very insightful. One point that I believe it should be mentioned is that one of the reasons that Iran was not at its best was due to UAE playing well and was coached well. Look at time of possession. They had done their home work and frankly did not let Iran control the tempo. Second half changes by Iran changed the game in Iran favor. At the end the edge went to Iran simply because of our talented front duo. Azmoun appeared to have an off game but when you look critically he was still effective and had an assist on the goal. Missed penalty can happen to anyone. ARJ was simply shut down by good defense. At the end UAE did not have the fire power to make their effort pay off and Iran did. South Korea game will be a great test for both teams. The mid field will be the deciding factor. I give Iran the edge on offense and defense over Korea. Control the middle of the pitch and transition from defense to offense will be key and very important for Iran. Thanks
