Somehow, just somehow, the team manage to find something to talk about that highly dull top of the table clash at Turf Moor between Scott Parker’s Clarets and Daniel Farke’s Leeds. One shot on target between them, on the 87th minute. Are the Clarets playing this far too safe, and can they secure an automatic promotion spot?

Match analysis with Host, Natalie Bromley and Adam Dennett.

  1. Pleased with the clean sheet but not about the draw. Attack looked blunt & I'm not sure the attacking Spirit & will to win was there. It was all about not losing. In that they succeeded.

  2. Sadly a very poor, dull as ditchwater of a game. We were second best for the last 15 mins of first half and all of second half. Only one team played like they wanted to win. Leeds are not a great side, but they do look like they can create something. We huff but we aren’t dangerous. A great defence is something to be proud of, but the inability to score / look dangerous not only makes watching TMC tough, it will probably cost us promotion…….we need that 20 goals a season centre forward, but if we can’t get that, we need the manager to create a better balance between no goals conceded and no goals scored!

  3. Good point, boring AF – all good if we get promoted, abysmal if we don't. Utter bore fest BUT we've got next to nothing up top so…………….over to Pace to bring some serious quality in to get that 120 million quid payday. Go with what we have and we don't get promoted. Also, Leeds with the best squad had ONE shot, not all that, Sunderland were better.

  4. Nat, it's going to take us nine home games to score four goals 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 We don't have the quality to dictate, most of it left in the summer. Foster meh, Darmiento meh etc etc etc. Brownhill goes missing in the big games, Laurent got picked off and Cullen ended up being a one man midfield.

  5. Completely agree, it's promotion or bust for us. If we don't go up we lose Trafford, Esteve. Cj, Brownhill, Roberts at a minimum. Pace needs to act VERY quickly, if all we bring in are Sonne, Barnes and Shelvey then it's an abysmal window and Parker is fighting with his arm tied behind his back.

  6. This result tells me that parker is going out to win the games we should be winning, and hoping for a win against the teams we might struggle against. Maybe he needs to change tactic and go for it. We have decent players that could do something. We need results UTC!!!!!

  7. It’s Ok. Parker will let the handbrake off when he gets the time to work with the squad (it’s only been seven months). He’ll let the handbrake off when he gets the players he needs (he’s only had two full windows). He will let the handbrake off when he is playing the teams we should beat.

In short he’ll let the handbrake off… next time. Definitely. Just you wait.

Also that jam you ordered? Arrives tomorrow.

  8. Funny how everyone looks to the opposing team to provide the exciting, cutting edge . . The drama.
But most teams struggle to break down a low block from a bottom 3 side. So any team trying to break down a boring low block team with recent ex prem players is probably gonna fail.
Burnley are boring Yes, no real threat going forward Yes. But best defense in the championship Yes.
Own it Burnley fans, you're boring, but do you care

  9. I'm a Leeds fan, now admittedly it wasn't the greatest of games but if the object of football this season is to get promoted then not losing is the first step. Who said football should be exciting? The two teams are 1st and 3rd both up there both in serious contention for promotion. Yes it was dull yes it was a poor advert for championship football but if we both go up who cares?

  10. You were disappointed with Leeds? How did you really expect them to play when you pit eleven behif the ball? Agreed they have played better. But the Burnley attitude to the game was abysmal and if you continue to play like this you deserve to lose in the play offs
