  1. I thing worth noting is that while Kai just isn't a fwapapapawer, his finishing/ballstriking has dropped off in the last couple months compared to most of 2024 and it's very obvious that he is struggling with fatigue

  2. The amount of excuses people make for this guy, i will NEVER understand it.. Chelsea haven’t finished above us for years, yet we keep signing players that even they don’t want, then expect them to thrive at a team trying to win the league🙄

  3. If Arteta bought a deadly left winger that can score a lot of goals and a good backup for Saka then Havertz as a 9 wouldn't be an issue. Currently though the ball keeps landing to Havertz where most decent strikers would score, but he wastes the chances.

  4. Bottom line is he works extremely hard and offers a lot of positives for the team but unfortunately he lacks that killer instinct that top goalscorers have. I would say yes hes a decent striker but not a great goal scorer, there is a difference. An example would be a player like kevin davis who led the line extremely well, worked very hard but was never a scorer of lots of goals because he couldnt finish like an elite goal scorer

  5. I think the issue is with Arteta and not havertz, because of odegaard he can't really play the 10 but everyone from Leverkusen to Chelsea to Germany has said the same thing, great player but not a number 9. And Arsenal fans seem to think that since he is a cam who can play striker then he would be a good false 9 but he's not. His best role is behind the striker, at that he is great but arteta is the one playing him out of position. Last season Gakpo kept getting played at striker when he was clearly a left wing, everyone knew it and every time he played there he performed. This season in the LW position he has thrived and looked quality. You can't be playing him in a position we have established he's not great at and expect him to thrive, it's a little stupid and it's unfair on him.

  6. Great video James almost all of this agree with you. It’s the little things body shape, ball placement and first touch and also just calming himself infront of goal that can enable havertz to be an elite CF. he is only 25 he can really develop into a all round deadly striker and player

  7. Agree that Havertz can do better in some situations and if he is our main source of goals it probably isn't going to win the league but he does so much for the team. Spurs and City away this season spring to mind most where his stats weren't great but he put such a shift in all over the pitch to grind out the result. I'm also pretty convinced that he scores more in the last few weeks in particular if he had some more opportunity to rest, he looked shattered after Wolves.
Another aspect is I don't think he was ever meant to be the sole striker, Jesus hasn't been fit enough and we tried it with Nketiah when we first signed Havertz and it didn't work out. His first prem game before Timber got injured we lined up more in a 3-2-4-1 with him and Odegaard playing as 10s and wonder if we revisit that when we go and buy a decent striker. I think someone who could run off Kai and use his intelligent runs would be really interesting going forward.

  8. I really think that what you said about his body shape on many of these examples is what could make him take another step forward. This might gain him say an extra 5-10% of his chances leading to a goal. He gets A LOT of chanses and if he would convert 5-10% more, that is somewhere between 3-6 goals (roughly). If he were to add that to his current output, I think most critics would be less vocal.

  9. There was an article in The Athletic which used data to show that the best finishers score most often with a max of one or two touches. You can see it the examples mentioned here that Havertz is struggling with those shots inside the box that you’ve covered here

  10. This whole debacle since he’s here at Arsenal over his quality is so exhausting at this point. Spoiler, he’s not good enough. For Arsenal to be seriously competitive, we cannot have a striker who’s form is so inconsistent and not only that, most games he plays up front, especially against better teams, he doesn’t impact the game enough. Notwithstanding, his worth ethic, and commitment is very good.

  11. Kai Havertz is the absolute master of getting into spaces for prime goalscoring opportunities and then not scoring. Simple as that I’m afraid

  12. Would need a change to the system but Havertz as a second striker would be unparalleled IMO. Up top on his own he is good but not a natural so will have chances missed. His build up play is top so when Saka is back and with Martinelli getting back to his better form he will improve massively in overall play. Arsenal fan so may be biased and would love for us to get a Sesko or Gyorkeres in the summer still

  13. Havertz really reminds me of Thomas Muller. He ends up in fantastic positions and you almost wonder how he got there. Just his finishing is miserable in comparison.

  14. He could actually play wide left or from the 10 position. He played LCM against Crystal Palace away thought he was great, carrying the ball and linking play. There’s obvious thing about his height growth, he looks a lot less coordinated than when he was at Leverkusen. He probably needs to add abit of muscle to catch up to his body.

  15. If hes so good why are we crying out for a striker… the overanalysis on havertz man if he was good there would be no need to look that deep into him. If he doesnt score he has no qualities that other strikers dont have. He‘s flimzy and slow. People will only realize once he’s gone. The amount of goals he gets for a team like arsenal most strikers would score

  16. I honestly think arsenal doesn't need a partey replacement they should put all there summer efforts into a insane striker play a 442 because havertz is a second striker that's what he is so getting a out and out goalscorer would do so much i know it's a basic formation but that's what brought us success previously and I think that's what's going to do it again

  17. Where from this CONFIDENCE agenda came about Havertz and Sterling???
The guys are not young, played many games on a high level, get the highest salary at the club and … don't have stupid CONFIDENCE, are you serious?
Havertz is just BAD at finishing, that's all, should never be in Arsenal club
His xG in EPL ist 11.11, scored only 8

  18. 1:33, u see this is the issues when outsiders watch arsenal, they draw conclusions like yours claiming noone is exploiting the space Havertz makes, but i can assure u if the far side players made that run kai wouldnt pass the ball to them.
There are countless other times when the other players make the runs and kai simply plays the safe pass backwards.

Another issue is a matter of coaching but thats a separate thing all together.
