In 2010, Franco Armani transferred to Atletico Nacional of Medellin from Deportivo Merlo. He remained for 8 seasons and eventually became their go-to goalie. The Nacional supporters hailed him as a hero, praising him in particular for his potent and dependable shot-stopping abilities. Armani would go on to amass thirteen victories, including the Copa Libertadores, the Champions League of South America, in 2016 versus Independiente del Valle.
