In summary Trent is a attacking player and real madrid are struggling in defence so they should buy a proper defender
First plz pin
I was getting what you were saying until Lucas Vazquez and Trent commented it’s a big difference Trent can defend better than Lucas because Lucas is a rm-rw force to play rb and plus Dani will be a good backup to show Trent the ropes so he is ready to pass the torch to trent
If Trent joins Real Madrid, one change Carlo must do is to make the pressing cohesive. Currently, Real Madrid are a trying to press high but it hasn't been cohesive at all. Jude and Rodrygo try to press but we need to see more intent from both Mbappe and Vini. Speaking about them, in the past few games, I can see more intent from Mbappe and its easier to convert Vini to a presser because of his experiences in Brazil. But, the press hasn't still been cohesive (its a work in progress I believe) and they still leave gaps. This allows transitions and puts burden on fullbacks to cover 1v1s vs wingers and just like Lucas, Trent isn't good in these situations unlike Dani Carvajal. At the left side, it isn't a big problem as Ferland Mendy is a specialist in these 1v1s, I do know currently he isn't at his best but last season there was a stretch where he only got dribbled past once. At the right, Carvajal was a specialist as well, not to mention, he kept a terrifying winger like Musiala quiet in both UCL semifinal in Bernabeu and euros quarterfinal. Trent isn't and leaving him vulnerable in 1v1s will only expose his weaknesses. If the press is cohesive, it allows to win the ball high up the pitch and make sure the RB doesn't get tested as much. This is sth Ancelotti needed to do long time ago even when Lucas was playing, he's currently trying and I hope he can implement this cohesive style of pressing sooner.
However, If Ancelotti can make the tactical change I mentioned above, I do think that Trent to Real Madrid makes 100% sense especially in possession. One condition is Ferland Mendy needs to return to his best, because at his best, he's one of the most press resistant fullbacks itw and so is Trent. So, it allows a route for buildup. Having Trent also reduces the burden of ball progression from both Ceballos and Valverde as he's a juggernaut when it comes to progressive passing and diagonal switches. The other thing Ancelotti needs to do is to use his power of friendship and help him improve defensively. A team cannot press high all the time and there will be times he'll be tested.
Dani can get another injury
Pedro Porro is a much better opti5
That is why Madrid have made Saliba their secondary target someone like Saliba can play the role that Van Dijk does for Liverpool and cover the space Trent leaves when he moves forward.
say it with me, tchou-a-me-ni!
Trent is destined for Madrid he's the best passer of the ball currently and Madrid's needs a passer of the ball
What about hakimi
Such a detailed analysis never seen on yt bro keep it up really liked how you explained all things here it really got my attention … loved the video!!
Listen Trent solves our freekick problem, combined with Valverde's direct bullets, he scores goal.. his crosses are way more pinpoint. Marcelo couldn't really defend as well as Carvajal on the opposite end. I think we just need to make sure our left back is a strong defender, I feel Trent is better than Vasquez going forward anyway. Or well, knowing Ancelotti he could move him forward into midfield successfully
People forget that Capello benched Beckham after signing for LA Galaxy and Real were in such a bad slump he had to bring Beckham back and he was literally the best player on the Galactico's. One of those thing you can't google or find on youtube.
I think Real can give Raul into that possession.
Trent can play in the Kroos role
For all the people giving options like Hakimi and Porro and saying no to TAA (although he's not a guaranteed signing yet either) let me tell you this first:
1. Hakimi and Porro both are not as good as TAA offensively. TAA is generational attacking RB.
2. Porro and Hakimi both have many years to go in their contracts with Hakimi just re signing as well and their cost would be HUGE considering we have to deal with Levy for Porro and RMA's relationship with PSG is not good at all. Sources inside RMA says Hakimi is impossible.
3. Historically RMA has always always prioritized attacking fullbacks as that is our ethos.
4. With changes in tactics and advancements in them, a defensive structure always negates most of the cons of attacking fullbacks and what TAA lacks in defence he makes it up with offence.
5. The actual best RB option for us would've been Reece James as he's most similar to Carvajal (very balanced offence and defence with physicality too) but it's a shame he's made out of glass and his career is borderline over now.
6. Besides this the only other option actually would be ball playing CB who can slot in as RB if ya all really like no negatives in defence but that's not going to happen either.
Please, NO. We need DEFENDER , a feared defender
Trent is a tree who's giving lots more options for the team and can still be molded for a more defensive fullback because he has potential and flexibility
Real Madrid needs Trent, he’s my preferred right back.
“Why real madrid should not sign trent”
-Every Barcelona fan
WE NEED HIM WE LOST OUR RB
As long as Madrid outscore ther opps dnt matter if Trent is a defensive player 😂
