I am sick and tired of hearing these pundits talk about players’ feelings. The median salary in Manchester is somewhere around £40k/year. Over 80% of Man Utd players make more than that PER WEEK. Some of them make as much as nearly 8 times the median yearly Manchester salary PER WEEK. All the fans are asking is for players to show effort and represent their colors with pride. But after years of underperforming, we are still hearing about players’ feelings or pressure. Pressure is not knowing where your kids’ next meal is going to come from, or where the next rent or mortgage payment is going to come from, or whether or not you’ll still have a job when you show up for work the next day. Those players never say, “I am too young or haven’t done enough to earn all this money.” Then they should just put their heads down and get to work.
