  1. Atleti has 44 points in first half. The same form will get them 88. Now Barcelona can have an amazing form and end up getting 50+ and also Real Madrid is there, so it is not going to be easy at all. But I don't we have ever lost a league title when we are at the top after the first half.

  2. I have never seen a more pessimistic Atleti fan, I’m not saying Atleti are definitely won the league or anything like that but down playing their wins even though the Barca with “higher potential” is dropping points to Leganes at home I don’t quite get it, to the point of discounting winning streaks in La liga in general, that’s just wild . Athletic clubs team may not have depth but Valverde makes it work, surely coaching has to account for something. The logic of not caring about the winning streak until you win the trophy that’s fair enough but you could apply the same thing to Barca, it doesn’t matter if you beat teams by 5 if you still drop points to teams at the bottom of the table.

  3. At 2:22 when you say weak league… bro that's a massive disrespect!! The ones who actually watch the league know that it's never easy to go and pick 3 points at San Mames or Anoeta or at the Balaidos!!

Did you guys see how both Barca and Real struggled at Rayo's home? please do not use the term "weak league" without context (I know a Liverpool fan would never know the intensity of the stadiums/teams mentioned)

  4. Best part ever recorded on this podcast.

    Soltero rule: 23:5326:35.
Check episode from 28th October "BARCA MASTERCLASS! Barcelona HUMILIATES Real Madrid 4-0"

Around the same time that Soltero said goodbye from the current season, Diego Simeone gave a historic speech to his players and then set the record number of consecutive wins in Atletico's 122-year history.
    Nunca dejes de creer!
    Aupa Atleti!

  5. Alvarez should've had a hat trick today, he was noticeably tired and frustrated, can tell that from how he celebrated his goal. Giving massive props to the defense and it's deserved, but the midfield and attack have been cooking as well, many times it's just the finish that's not there. This happened against Barca (should've been 3 – 1 if we ignore Barca's terrible finishing), this happened against Marbella, against Lille, against Sevilla, etc. Countless times after that Betis defeat Atleti have played front foot attacking football but the finishing just wasn't there. But yeah, massive props to the defense because when your forwards just can't finish, it's important to hold onto whatever scraps you get and that's the job of the defense.

  6. Oh, I am so tired of the Barca topic: Barca made the stake on the intensive football without having depth of the squad: They don't have another option for Balde, Lewandowski and Yamal. This fascinating version of Barcelona earned less points then the worst Real since 20/21 version of the team and then "boring" Atletico. You might have scored 2000 goals against Valladolid, but it doesn't matter if you don't do "boring" wins against Las Palmas and this kind of teams. Atletico may be not so impressive, but Atletico is a WAY more stable then the opponents and has better substitution options compared to Real(because of injuries in the defense line) and Barca.
