In 2023, Sean Johnson stood at the edge of greatness, only to watch it slip away by a single yard to Kyle Berkshire. Fast forward to 2024, and redemption came calling. By that same razor-thin margin, Sean claimed the World Long Drive Championship, proving that in this sport, the difference between glory and heartbreak is measured in inches.

But Sean’s story isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about resilience, risk, and a relentless pursuit of what lies beyond the horizon. Today, he sets the golf club aside and picks up a fishing pole as we talk about the rise, the grind, and what it takes to stay on top.

  1. Except no one was in the field in 2024. So no one cares and no one considers him the champ. The entire sport is a complete trainwreck of mismanagement.

  2. Sean worked really hard for the win so no taking anything away from him, but i agree the tour could have been far better managed last year and the noticeable absences from the field raise questions…, Sean however could only beat those that where there and he did that. Hopefully the increased YouTube activity and the addition of the podcast mean that this year will be better
