Fighting for his Comeback | David Raum’s Way Back to the Pitch

David Raum injured the anterior syndesmosis in the ankle joint of his right foot during the match against Heidenheim on October 6, 2024. After the diagnosis that surgery was unavoidable, the rehab process began. After an initial period in Leipzig, David spent two weeks at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center near Salzburg to work intensively on his comeback. He then returned to the team for the final touches, where he first celebrated his comeback on the training pitch at Cottaweg. He was able to have his comeback on the pitch before the winter break on 20.12.24 away at FC Bayern Munich, just as he had discussed with Joshua Kimmich. David Raum then made his starting eleven comeback in the home game against Werder Bremen on 12.01.25. In this documentary, we follow his entire journey back onto the pitch up close. Enjoy!
