Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that West Ham United have rejected a loan bid from Monaco. Graham Potter’s side requires new faces as Niclas Fullkrug has suffered a hamstring injury and Jarrod Bowen will be out for another month.

  1. Problem is we don't have Quality in depth especially subs due to these injuries so selling first teamers unless its stupid money then there is no point in that as it will only weaken our team even more, hence the difference between first and 2nd half against Villa.

  2. Our defence has sucked for two seasons now, i don't know if alvarez has something to do with that or his stats suffer from the insecurity of being a cdm and our defence sucking..

  3. We've got issues all over the pitch, Striker, attacking midfielder, defenders and goal keeper. 😭😭😭 nothing to play for now this season, only staying up

  4. If we could get a decent fee for Paqueta let him go and bring in a decent player that doesn’t ponce around and dive at every opportunity. He’s a liability.

  5. I don’t think Alvarez is fully recovered from his injury so it’ll be hard to judge him until he gets a break and properly heals. I’m not opposed to telling him, but there’s still a player there. I’m sure of it

  6. We're too low on numbers to let anyone else out on loan. Ideally we'd be recalling people I think but probably can't. Even if we sell we're short on time to bring others in. Just need to get to the end of the season and then go again.

  7. I don't know how many of you have been to Monaco? I have and it's very, very wealthy. Flew over the ground in a chopper. Stunning! As a pro footballer the lifestyle they offer is like being in dreamland. Alvarez would jump all over it. I certainly wouldn't blame him for doing so.

  8. Decent player but not irreplaceable. Lacks pace, not the best passer and lacks discipline. A straight loan would be ridiculous. I wouldn’t get rid unless we got most, if not all of our money back. On Tim, if he’s not allowed to close deals get rid. He got Kudus, Alvarez and Todibo over the line by all accounts so if he’s not allowed the fluffy stuff he’s unproven on the scouting front as far as I’m concerned. The club would be taking away his expertise in doing so – and I think that’s their plan.

  9. I like Alvarez, he offers a combative defence midfielder, we can fault his spirit and fight… I’d sell some of the other deadwood before we sold him

  10. Maybe by the end of the season his value will go up once Potter gets him playing well again. He wants to go let but let’s not allow him to go for nish I think the injury affected him and he his fitness isn’t quite back yet

  11. Having him and Soucek in the midfield is not a good watch so get rid of at least one of them… or else if we can't get a proper striker, stick Soucek up the front where he might be of more use than slowing down our midfield.

  12. Idk why people keep saying he hasn’t been good?! He was brilliant last season, and this season the whole team has been dreadful due to Lopetegui. He’s the real one at fault. West Ham seems to be the place where talent comes to die. But please place the blame where the blame really goes. In terms of stats, how can you even compare Soujek with Alvarez?? We know stats can say one thing…but we all know the truth.

  13. Has the form of Alvarez suffered with the way Lopetegui set up the defence? I'm thinking especially of the Chelsea game, but there have been other games when he's been hung out to dry being being left as the last line of defence. Alvarez has many fine qualities, but pace isn't one them. I thought he was more solid v Villa and much n ore like the player we initially bought.

  14. Not good enough. Not mobile enough to get about in defence, not good enough with the ball to be a reliable pivot option with the ball.

  15. No way I would loan him out even with an obligation.
Currently I think his value will be low and I still have hope he will have a good run until the end of the season and we can sell in the summer for a higher value. I also do not want to see Rodríguez play and want our scouts to focus on a striker and CB this window.
That said if we got £20m+ now I would sell using the money for a striker and loaning a CM (I think there are more options to loan a CM over striker)

  16. I am probably bias as a Mexican myself but I feel like a real Westham fan now been in loved with the club since the Marko Arnautovic & chicharito eras, crazy as it sounds I liked moyes ball I tought he was building an interesting shield and spears style that suited the budget and most players in the team ,problem for me with moyesball was the lack of subs and boring to watch style ,my point to make is , Alvarez has ambition and passion I would love for him to stay at Westham and leave as loved as Rice did , it is a fact Alvarez does not have the same playstyle or pedigree as rice but I do think if he stays he can bounce back and become a easy 30 Million plus signing for another club next window and give time to the club and manager to rebuild this year certainly has not been his best but I think that first year does weight enough to keep some sort of confidence and hope in the Lad. He know he does not have the same value as last year and knowing how our captain of the Mexico national team has grit, we Mexicans fight! and Im sure alvarez will fight back for his form too! cheers from Mexico love the channel and videos!

  17. These types of foreign clubs see west ham as an easy touch because we've given players away in the past,French and Italian clubs do this to us put in pathetic attempts to loan expensive players
