What an absolute LAD he was. Like 'Dinho, guy played with a smile always and demolished defenses, scored screamers, entertained. Just how football should be played. As a Liverpool supporter it was a JOY to see him.

Great player. Seen him at old Trafford and he ripped united apart in the 1st half. Wish he joined united after leaving Boro.
If he'd played for a more 'fashionable' club he would've easily been in everyone's top 2 or 3 of their greatest foreign import lists. Unplayable on his day. So glad we lifted the Carling cup in '04, meant so much to the 'little magician'.

Was at the England game with my nephew a workmate and his son and we joked that he may be a Boro player. We were astounded when we signed him and went to greet him when he arrived. He is the best footballer I have seen live and Fergie hated when they had to play against him. He took so many teams apart. In his first season teams players coming to play against actually, whilst warming up, stood and looked astonished at his size, by the end of the game they were queing to swap shirts with him. The best Boro player in my lifetime.
