Jack grealish is an amazing footballer, why he has not hit the heights of the Aston villa form that warranted the 100m is simply a tactical reason, pep is a system-based manager, and in systems the whole is more important that the individual, which is why man city can lose one-off games easily but long term they are successful because system-based managers are suited for the long term but individual players suffer if they don’t fit the system perfectly, And jack doesnt, cus he’s not a holding the width kind of winger that loves one-v-one’s , he likes combination plays(to link), and that’s why he performed well in Aston villa because he had a coach in dean smith, that is not a system-based manager but a manager that looks at his squad and comes up with creative tactics that fit his players , which is perfect for one-off matches e.g playing against the best teams and finals, and makes individual players shine but not really suitable to the long term successes of the club,I stand bold to say if Grealish was coached under a Carlo ancelloti or zidane, we might have a different narrative or view on Grealish, but me personally as a fan, I prefer the system-based approach cus for me the club is more important .

My performance is consistent but has been clouded because of my peers not pulling their weight and team dynamics…….
