Never bet against human nature…. The Ref likely knows he gave a soft yellow first time which influences his decision. Also Liverpool dominated Spurs recently and that was still in their minds. In both cases that's what humans do. A wise man told me once not to bet against human nature.

The fact that Bergval scored coming from the space where Tsimikas would be marking him, when Tsimikas was awaiting to be allowed back onto the field after the latter was fouled by Bergval, makes it even more unfair.
He more than cleared a person who was supposed to stop him, before scoring.
(I'M NOT SAYING TSIMIKAS WOULD HAVE SUCCEEDED STOPPING HIM)
I'm saying, Liverpool deserved a fair stand point.

VVD is still the best CB in the world but LFC and it's fans play the persecuted over and again. Bergvall's first yellow wasn't even a foul. And VVD could've seen red for that studs dig on Solanke. That it wasn't even reviewed is ridiculous. Klopp started that whole sense of LFC always getting slighted by the refs and it continues on. Everything evens out over the year.
What's pretty clear was him raking his studs down Solanke's calf when he was nowhere near the ball. Glass houses and all that Mr vD.
He knows its only half time and that there is another leg to play at home which will be extremely tough for Tottenham. I wish Slot would play more young players and give our first team players more rest. This competition isnt as importsnt as the League and the Champs league.
