Most of the pundits didn’t even have us finishing in the top 4 let alone winning the league. Gary was never going to say Liverpool to win the league, he’s just hanging on hope that we don’t win it and that Arsenal do. Arsenal aren’t playing that well atm, and without their best player for the next few months, I just can’t see them catching us.

Easy to pick holes in the argument that Arsenal have more experience of title chases than Liverpool because of the last 2 seasons
Alisson, Trent, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson & Salah have all been involved in 90 plus finishes in 18/19, 19/20 & 21/22
Konate, Jota, Jones, Elliott & (sort of/to a less extent) Diaz were all involved in 21/22
And this same squad were competing with City & Arsenal until the final months of last season before falling away
