What is really going on with Ronald Araujo? Nope, we’re not talking about his injury this time. Rumor has it… Barça might be open to selling him and replacing him with… Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen!

Since joining the senior squad in 2020, Araujo’s earned Barcelona about €29-30 million in salary. Add €900k he earned as a Barça B player since 2018, the €4 million transfer fee and add-ons paid to Boston River,  total investment of €36 million by the end of this season.

Selling him for,  €70 million would net Barça a €34 million profit—not bad for a club that’s struggling to register players.

And then there’s Jonathan Tah. Reports say Barça want to bring him in on a free transfer next summer. Leverkusen wants €30 million now, but Tah’s in his last contract year

But… is selling Araujo the right move? Is he indispensable—a future captain? Or would you let him go if Christensen can’t fetch a transfer fee, or if Íñigo decides not to renew in 2025?
