Liverpools owners have been great until now, but these contract situations need to be sorted asap. It’s the only thing that can stop us this season

What was the club thinking, leaving it until the end? There are only two ways it can go. The player is dropping off, and while he may want to extend, you're doibting it. Or, truly professional players up their game, and force you to pay up or lose them for nothing. What did the club think would happen?
The Alexander-Arnold situation is totally ridiculous. That guy is only an asset if he is under contract, and he would be worth a fortune to a Real Madrid. Lose him on a free, and hope another club is thinking like yourself and dropping money on the sidewalk?

I actually love the fact the players are putting the club in this predicament – because, as Jamie said, the club may not want to part with that much money for players of their age. I think the best solution would be to offer them a "performance related pay" so they could earn "top-salary" if they remain fit and contribute. If they don't, then… they won't. However, if they continue to play on this level, they could earn huge bonuses.
Funny how players suddenly start playing their best again when contracts are coming to an end! Mo was invisible last season, and basically stopped playing once Liverpool were out of ALL Trophy contention. Now he wants £500,000 for 3 years, he's suddenly playing like World's Best! Call his bluff and sell him to Saudi League for £80M!! 😂
