Everton got their reward against a Premier League title-chaser for the second time in eight days as they ended Chelsea’s eight-match winning streak in a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park.

While the Blues had to be dogged and resolute against Arsenal at the Emirates, they mixed attacking intent with more defensive steel against Enzo Maresca’s high-fliers, having chances to win the contest, especially in the second half from wingers Jack Harrison and Iliman Ndiaye.

In front of the Club’s new Executive Chairman, Marc Watts, Sean Dyche’s men made it three games unbeaten and registered a fifth clean sheet in six to move up to 15th in the Premier League table.

And in a week full of positives which saw The Friedkin Group complete their takeover and the Club officially take charge of Everton Stadium, this was another reason to head into Christmas with the feelgood factor flowing for Evertonians.

  1. We certainly could have nicked this – but I hope we will start to put the ball in the net soon. Dyche is doing a good job considering the injuries we have had, and good to see some players coming back from them. COYB. It's been really good collecting the points from games I didn't think we had a chance with. Onwards and upwards.

  2. look at the bright side of life, Neverton Lads… you could have lost 3 points… you only lost 2.. yea ??? now… when is the shat-on-pitch on your new stadium ? the Neverton Crapper…

  3. Dyche is doing with Everton what he did with Burnley and that is turning them into an absolute bore to watch.

I was so glad when Burnley got relegated, so we did not have to watch it any more, I will be so glad when the same happens to Everton.

Such a contrast to watching their Red Neighbours.

  4. I am sure I am not the only one that has been saying, ever since Drogba left Chelsea (the first time), they need a World Class Striker that knows where the back of the net is.
Jackson is ok, but for every goal he scores, he will miss 10.
I would love to know why Nkunku is not starting games, he is a much better finisher and is Chelsea top scorer.

  5. I have been an Evertonian for 60 years but they haven’t played entertaining football for almost 10 years. This current quality of football we play is not entertaining and is hard to watch. COYB just surviving relegation each year is not good enough!

  6. Very great play from Everton❤ strong defence and very good goalkeeper and great ball possessions from them.
    Wow😮❤👍
More Grace to them from above 🙌🙌🙌🙌 wow😮💯

  7. Pickford is a lucky boy. That challenge on Gusto was a clear pen. If Gusto doesn't pull out of fully following through with the shot, Pickford would've broken Gustos leg. 100

  8. Gusto keeps making silly defensive blunders in the left back position all through the game. also, playing Neto in the right wing is making him to underperform in games. He always struggles in the right wing. I don't know why the coach is hell bent on playing him out of position. His perfect position is left wing forward.

  9.
