  1. How could people make the argument that this is a yellow card tackle. Late, reckless, no attempt to play the ball, studs up, at knee level. It’s a clear as day red card.

  2. Red card is only for violent tackle. This is just a normal tackle, but poorly timed. So it should just be a talking to, or at most a yellow. How on earth is it a straight red?

  3. Something most fans and players seem to not understand. Even if your intention is to not harm or murder your opponent with a dangerous tackle, it's still a foul. That includes accidents, but still, people argue this and that is or isn't red or yellow.
    Regardless of whether or not Bruno wanted to destroy that guy, the ref is still going to look at it as dangerous play

  4. looks its worst from that angle. The fact he essentially made a second stabbing motion towards Madders is what earned him the red. Can see why the ref gave it on first reaction.
