It’s been long enough, Gio Reyna has to leave Borussia Dortmund and find a club where can he be the protagonist.

Not any club but the right club, which is the perfect move for the USMNT star Gio Reyna?

  1. Gio’s wage wages are too high. He would need to get a pay cut and BVB sell a bit lower than 12M. But the issue is that Gio is already married… not sure if they would want to downgrade financially. But the most logical thing to do to safe his career is to accept the pay cut, “take a step back in Europe” and then try to go to an elite club. It’s possible! By going to MLS, you are potentially ruining your shots of being a soccer global superstar

  2. I don’t necessarily he should move in the winter, nor do I think there’s a chance that it will happen. More than anything, Gio needs some stability right now. Staying with Dortmund, getting healthy, contributing off the bench, and then getting starts is probably the best thing for him.

  3. You know I sometimes comment on your posts. Usually when I have a completely different opinion. I'll come to PSV at the end. Fiorentina: Beltran, Richardson and Colpani (who Gazetta reports is already in the process of buying)… why would they buy an additional attacking midfielder? Mallorca: Maybe, but at the moment they can't afford anything and even have to work on getting a license for 25/26. Even 9 or 10 million would be too many. And PSV? Tilman has a contract until 28 and if someone actually pays 25 to 30 million for him, there are better purchase options for the Dutchman. Because now there is an important consideration: A lot of clubs are very careful about spending so much money (yes, that's right, too much money) on a player who is often injured. Missed 82 league games due to injuries at such a young age. Well, not many people believe that things will get much better in the future. Not to forget his annual salary of around 2.5 million euros. He would have to give up a lot to get a place at one of the three proposed clubs. He was also briefly an issue in my club, but for a maximum of 6.8 million, after a previous loan. That was not enough. Anyway, I deeply appreciate your dedicated research. Keep it up!

  4. This might sound crazy and unrealistic, but I think Manchester city. Gio has a good playing relationship with haaland, Pep recently extended his contract, KDB and Silva keep aging, and Manchester City is in the middle of a results crisis. He may be nowhere near their radar right now, but I think he’s always been a player Pep has liked, fits a profile that has driven almost a decade of City success, and has connections to both the club and players at the club. IF Manchester city were rolling the league, I’d never make this suggestion. But recent results could lead to changes in their process and lead to opportunities.

  5. Bottom line with gio is he's made of glass. When he's healthy and in good forum, he is an asset to a team. Unfortunately he's never been healthy enough to stay in the field. I don't care where he goes as long as he plays regular minutes against top competition

  6. It's undeniable that Landon Donovan was a standout player. I so enjoyed watching him play! His ability to read the game and make passes and runs that others couldn't see was truly uncanny. His touch on the ball was awesome. Unfortunately, his greatest opponent was himself, his mindset, in my opinion not a fact, just an arm chair opinion, is Donovan lacked work ethic when not playing a game. I can't help but wonder if Gio Reyna is following a similar path of self-sabotage–I hope not. He is so talented.

  7. Lol, bro, London Donovan was a great player bro, but let's make it simple, gio Rena need to get mentally physical and physically physical and that's the only problem he accountable for, we all know how great and skillful that guy is but he's not taking this two accountability we are pointing out.

  8. First of all, MLS league is not a joke this day cause most European superstars can't even be able to win the championship in MLS cause other players are balling just like they do in MLS, common bro..

  9. Wow, thank you for doing all that research Tac, I like LaLiga or Serie A for Gio. My opinion on which team however I will divert to your expertise so it's Mallorca or Fiorentina for Gio! Somebody call Gio's agent, let's make it happen, but make sure Claudio doesn't block it! 😉

  10. This is a big IF, but if Reyna were to sign in the MLS, he would be an immediate starter at several clubs. A club like San Diego FC or Houston Dynamo could use him immediately. And Lallas’ suggestion of LA Galaxy isn’t terrible either due to the ACL injury and subsequent surgery to Puig’s left knee that will likely keep him out for most (if no all) of 2025.

  11. I think people overhype gio reyna, guys average player, needs to join an average club, pulisic has shown that he can at least perform at top level with top level clubs, Gio has yet to show that, he needs to join a small club and get playing time there

  12. We actually should try to get all the best players in MLS. Then they should start doing relegation. We need to try to make MLS one of the best leagues in the world. They need more money and advertising dollars. This is our best shot at growing the sport and winning a World Cup.

  13. Gio to the LA Galaxy makes sense.

    1. His ego (if still a problem) won't be challenged since he'll arguably be onenof the top 3 or 5 best players in the team

    2. He'll get minutes since the only other CAM would be Reus who cant do a full 90. He'll also lower his chances of injury due to lower league intensity.

    3. He wont get rusty. He'll be playing along side quality players. Pec, being scouted by top 5 PL clubs, Paintsil who spent the majority of his career in the Belgium league, Dejan who has played in Germany and Serbia, Reus the Dortmund legend, Yoshida the Japan national team veteran and PL experienced, and Puig Barcelona prodigy.

    4. He can work a deal to only be there until the summer and if Puig isnt back or he has no market value he can stay until the winter to build his value.

    5. He'll be playing for the most decorated team in the league so he'll have eyes on him for sure.
