And what about stopping in the run up? That is not supposed to be allowed.
Credit to Fabianksi but shame on West Ham who can only score with manufactured assistance from the ref.

Only got to watch the first half before going out, but this was a proper football match. Two teams having a real go, end to end at times. Maybe lacking in a bit of top level quality … until that free kick 😮 what a hit, love that paqueta scored too.

3. That’s an illegal runup that’s been banned since the Neymar days. If you execute that correctly it’s essentially impossible for the goalkeeper to prevent it unless you miss the target entirely.

Me on 41 points in fpl and person im playing in head to head was on 39 points and he had kluivert left to play and he was invisible kluivert and gets subbed on 79th minute,meaning he got the 3 points for me to lose 😄 and to make it worse few minutes after he goes off what a suprise west ham get a penalty and score 😄 unbelievable that fpl 🤦

Are they waxing lyrical about Unal's free kick, like they were over Enni Martinez' save?? Martinez' save was with the ball at him, he had to only manoeuvre a little, wasn't his best by a long stretch. That free kick was one of the best ever.
Compare it to Alexander-Arnold, David Beckham, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, even Roberto Carlos. It was from about 30 yards, and for it to beat any keeper, much less a well experienced one in Fabianski, it had to be perfect.
The penalty was not one in the actual definition and reason why handball was introduced into football, but it appears to satisfy the IFAB to warrant being given.
Back in the days, it was to stop deliberate manipulation of the ball's path in your favour, for an outfield player. Now, once you sneeze in the box, it's given. Just to increase the intensity of the game for gain. More entertaining…..

I went to my first EPL game since I moved to Bournemouth from Russia with a blessing of this Man with his family aside. On my birthday. It was an incredible game. Best birthday ever. Thank you Eddy! I’ve only seen those brief highlights but it looks like both teams made a good effort there. Only two goals but it looked like an entertaining, close and well contested game.
