  1. Our guys playing and training in Europe is the most beneficial to our improvement as a futbol nation. I enjoy MLS and it’s been improving but Europe is the pinnacle. Clint is the man!

  2. Donavana was considered as the best USA greatest player but he failed in Europe even Demarcus Beasley did much better than him, Freddy Adu was considered as the next big thing in football since Ronaldo de Lima but he failed dismally and he was a Nike project Cobi Jones and Mcbride were said to be USA but never did anything outside US only their goalkeepers had done well outside US Tim Howard and Friedel, Dempsey was ok at Fulham, Jozy Altidore did ok at Netherlands but after that he struggled. So Pullisic for me is still the best USA player ever

  3. USA and CONCACAF is the worst region, we hear about Canada, yet they came to play Slovenia & Netherlands and lost badly so if your best team loses to our mid national sides in Europe then the gulf is pretty clear.

  4. I think Clint is really right about his opinion on gio rena, to me, gio Rena need to stop being petty or baby sitting and get fully physical cause he's one my greatest skillful player ever seen on earth but he don't like to take a counts ility of physicality.

  5. Thirty Henry is right about concaf opinion, times are changing and have change too much now, the game are changing from Europe to other leagues now, other leagues are balling now if not better than Europe. MLS is huge now, LALi huge and other leagues too. People are waking up in sport bussiness

  6. Europe was a more hostile playing environment for Americans when Landon played in Germany as a teenager. He made the best decisions he knew to make at that time in his life. His later loans at Everton were solid. He could be counted on to come up big on the big occasions against the big teams for his national team. Needless to say, Gio needs to find a way to play at the highest level he can while he is still young, not just sign a contract at the highest level.

  7. The MLS is a poor league. You’d be a fool to leave a top European league for the MLS. It’s where great players go to finish their careers when they are long past their prime

  8. Dempsey has more respect than anyone and he never played Champs League. Gio hate is wild, and I think some fans are scared MLS could sign him when he doesn't stay healthy. MLS needs their stud that plays for the USMNT team, they will not rest till they sign a new Michael Bradley.

  9. I appreciate what Henry is saying about South Korea in 2002 being better than the sum of their parts (England consistently falls on its face in this respect), but he is incorrect in South Korea's leadup to 2002. Hiddink had them play England and France in May plus Costa Rica, Turkey, and Uruguay earlier in the year.

Also also Donovan was always SOOOO overrated in the US. I have so much more respect for the Americans that went and competed in Europe

  10. The angle that Landon couldn't have played in Europe is asinine, he was 19 years old on a stacked team in Germany not getting minutes with a World Cup around the corner – he moved back because he wanted to get called up for the squad and it worked. He got more playing time, won best young player at the the World Cup, and put MLS on his back for years. I know his takes are abysmal, but USA had far less talented players "make it" in Europe and based on his Everton loans he clearly could have played in the EPL if he had gone that route. Clint has a better club career, but Landon Donovan has 100+ goal contributions for team USA and in that jersey he was always that guy – I don't like him as a pundit but seeing Americans throwing one of our legends under the bus as a player is CORNY
