  1. As a neutral who watches Tottenham quite a bit, Son is the very least of Spurs problems. How Ange is setting his team up is, to be very blunt, downright stupid. Spurs are wide open in transition and are constantly leaving their back line exposed to ridiculous counterattacks. As a neutral, Spurs matches are highly entertaining to watch. But if I were a Spurs fan I’d want Ange to leave ASAP. Because he’s not adjusting his style of play at all and opponents have figured out his system.

  2. Callers don't represent match going fans – recent polls on big spurs fan podcasts over 80% Ange in. You can not like the losses without wanting the manager out.

  3. arsenal lost their entire back 4 and still won games?, man city lost a few, man utd and chelsea all had injuries, but yet when spurs have injuries that gives them a security blanket against criticism for losing?

  4. I feel that Anges irrational confidence, bordering on illusion of grandeur is standing on the way of the of admittance that in EPL you have to constantly adjust, reconsider what you thought is given, actively manage every minute of the game.
Spurs need a long term project to become a true contenders in EPL and UCL, I just do not think Ange is qualified to be a "project manager" for it to succeed

  5. You get some right nonsense about 'Spurs not being backed'. Let's take a look at club spending since 92/93 (when PL began, a nice easy and fair starting date). As usual I've used Transfermarkt and converted their numbers to £ just to make it simple. Additionally, sometimes the website doesn't include add-ons and so on, but that's for all clubs, so fair. So here we go, the spending of the 'Big Six' in order of most to least

    #1 Chelsea
    Spent: £3.26bn
    #2 City
    Spent: £2.37bn
    #3 United
    Spent: £2.32bn
    #4 Liverpool
    Spent: £1.79bn
    #5 Spurs
    Spent: £1.77bn
    #6 Arsenal
    Spent: £1.69bn

So you can't really argue that Spurs haven't been backed by the board/club/owner when they've spent more than Arsenal but have fewer trophies than them in the same time period. Not to mention all the other clubs I didn't do. It's even worse when you see how close they are to Liverpool's spend. Now I know some people will go 'Muh net spend' and other nonsense, but that doesn't change the fact that the club got out their chequebook and wrote 'BIG MONEY' on it and handed it to a club in exchange for a player. The fact they got £80m for Bale and £100m for Kane doesn't change the fact that Spurs have spent large sums of money and have very little to show for it. So please stop this narrative of 'Spurs don't get the backing of the owners'. They do. It is also a weird narrative for the likes of United as well. I've seen a few Liverpool fans mention it too. It's just not true. The clubs do spend money. The fact it hasn't worked out for them is due to how it has been spent. That applies to all clubs. Antony for £80m is just silly, for example.

  6. The boom & bust cycle at Spurs on full display. They think Ange is rattled because he’s showing emotion at a time of crisis. They don’t realise he’s been chewed up & spat out as a manager before & rose like the Phoenix. Nothing scares people more than a man with no fear. He had that philosophy with his coaching. He revels in it. He’s got enough money to sit on a Greek island for the rest of his life like a king. He couldn’t care less about perseverance. He’s all in.

  7. English and their craving of pragmatism. You all make love with the light off. Ange has too much passion for pragmatism. That’s why your lot always get found out at tournaments. Gareth is the embodiment of this philosophy & then you all cry.

  8. ‘No disrespect to rangers’ but it is disrespect. You English don’t watch football beyond your league . Rangers are a tough team in Europe, have been for a long time, they revel in the occasion and lift. History shows this.

  9. all the muppets with their spin on the silverware comment, he merely corrected the journalist and said its a fact TO DATE, he has won silverware in his second year with every club…. its a grammar discussion but lets not confuse a good story with the facts…

he never ever said he will defo win silverware at spurs this season…

  10. Rory is a moron and a liar.
Ange never guaranteed Spurs silverware this season, he just said that he has always won something in his 2nd season….. Rory completely misquoted him on purpose because it suits his narrative. Absolutely pathetic.
