We are charged the most expensive tickets in the world, so we should be getting the best product and spending as much as the rest. We do spend money but it’s always spread over a bunch of players or young potential rather than world class players.. and we never go massive on wages. If they don’t want to compete with the best then lower the ticket prices.
How surprising, Jordan sticking up for the board.
As long as the spreadsheets is good ey Simon
Jordans wrong on this again, i am actually starting to believe the Levy's his mate line. 1. We have the money, 2) We didnt back Poch and failed to sign anyone in 2 transfer windows, 3) We spent the Bale money on 7 players instead of buying the 2 or 3 experienced/world class players 4) we're buying youngsters again with the hope they will go up in price rather than buying players to increase our league position, these are not the actions of a board with ambition, they are the actions of business men who are happy because they see a healthy bottom line.
The fact Romero stands by that? But Tottenham doesn’t have it. (& he was best player in last game!) I’m not sure who owns (can buy, cannot buy) it’s to middle of the road! But WHAT does Romero expect?
Match Liverpools spend??
Simon pissed that romero attacked his buddy danny boy levy
How dare anyone bad mouth Simon’s mate!
Romero has gone from being a liability because he was a nutter who got booked and gave away fouls too much to being a liability who gets injured and doesn't play well enough. He was notably absent when Spurs stuffed City 4-0 a few weeks ago. We had a good enough team that day but now he's back we get mugged by Chelsea. Jordan absolutely correct to tell him to shut it. I still hear rumours Madrid are still interested. Fingers crossed.
Telemundo is an American Spanish-language outlet
Romero is 100% right.
Simon looking like a character in Guess Who
Imagine the outcome if Levy came out and said ‘yeah I thought Romero could have performed better this week’ ‘you see Van Dijk, Saliba and they perform each week maybe Romero needs to if we’re going to compete for trophies’. Stay in your lane son and concentrate on what your job is.
If Spurs back the manager and go and get the best players and pay the top
wages necessary to challenge for honours no one could complain about the board, instead they shop at bargain basement level instead of shopping for elite players.
Simon sticking up for his best mate again.
I want city relegated. Also there's alot of ifs and buts but Mourinho worked under the rules available, no point complaining about what was
Remember No on can say anything..well..apart from Simon gob Jordan 🥱🤡
Most of the teams in the Premiership have not won a trophy for at least 30 years. So, the lack of trophies over the last 16 years, is commonplace with the majority of the sides in the Premiership. So, I am not quite sure, why we are singled out, when we are not an exception.
In 1991, Spurs were on the verge of bankruptcy and only five years ago, we had a mediocre stadium that had a capacity of 36,000.
Even Aston Villa's stadium at the time, had a larger capacity of 42,000.
So, anyone pointing the finger at our chairman for our clubs' lack of success, need to take the blinkers off…We have come a long way under the management of our chairman.
So now we have a new billion-dollar stadium with a capacity of 62,000, we now qualify to be amongst the elite clubs and we should be performing far better.
As a club we have spent hundreds of millions on players, most of them have proven to be effective. The answer is not to keep spending money on players, unless there we have a clear vision of what we want to achieve as a side and we have players that fit into our style of playing.
Well done Romero well said , i even remember sol Campbell complaining to the spurs board before he left for Arsenal and said we have a few top players like myself, Ginola, Anderton etc but we need at least another 5 or 6 top players to compete
I usually agree with Simon but this time he lost the plot we need more players who speak out against these greedy establishments
Jose, Conte, Romero, Hoddle, Redknapp (both), Vega etc etc etc
Shut up Simon, Romero is bang on as was Carragher. 14 managers, 23 years, 1 trophy, Levy is the problem, net spend is ok but wages and football strategy have been terrible for years at spurs.
Get real. They've had top managers and very good players have come in and the club still underachieves. What's the common factor? Levy and the Board..
Tottenhams problem isn't spending in the transfer market its dishing out the wages. They'll pay the fees but scrimp on wages which is why the top top players never go there
Like Romero isnt trying to get a move.
Asking Simon about Daniel Levy's ownership of Spus is akin to someone criticising the Labour Government on GMB when Ed Balls is presenting … complete waste of time
I like Simon generally but his brown nosing of Daniel Levy is just a weirdness.
Just to let know Tottenham fans, incase haven't realised this many years having Jewish owner. He don't care about you, or the legacy of this club, all he cares is to keep his business going and being successful!
Tottenham's better players will be anchoring to leave soon. Romero hasn't convinced as a top level defender, but Kulu, Porro, and Udogie will want to leave just like all the players before them.
